While most of us are happy to have a long three day weekend, many of us will hit the Memorial Day sales at the big box retail stores, go to cookouts, open our pools, go to the beach and celebrate the beginning of summer season, let us not forget what Memorial Day is really all about; Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Taking Chance' ~ Lt. Col. Michael Strobl (USMC)
There is a very excellent movie based on this true story called Taking Chance.
While we enjoy the long weekend, enjoy the warm weather and spend time with our family and friends, let us take some time to respect and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedom.

“Taking Chance” is an excellent movie! Have some tissue nearby. I learned a lot by watching it.
To the brave souls servicing our country around the globe, THANKS!!
A tribute to America so we recall why they serve, why they fight. It will bring tears to your eyes.
You will have to copy and paste but it is worth the effort.
Taking Chance is an excellent movie and I highly recommend it; it handled the subject with great dignity and reverence and respect and with no political message, something that I didnt expect from an HBO movie. And Kevin Bacon was just amazing in the role of Lt. Col. Michael Strobl. And yes, if you watch it, have several boxes of Kleenex nearby.
