“You are absolutely correct: ketchup has no right to call a hotdog home.”

Well, it is only passing through...

Buy TWO hotdogs at the convenience store: put ketchup, mustard and relish on one, chili, cheese and onions on the other.

I know a guy that puts ketchup on biscuits and gravy. It could make a feller throw up.

This is a pretty long thread that would probably cause me to chew off my hands so this may have already been said..

I mix up a cold “sauce” of ketchup and mustard. Add lots of onion (prefer vidalias) and tomatos.

I put that on top of the “dog”. mmmm...mmm...mmmm. Can’t wait for tomorrow! :)

Lucky Dawg! LOL Wegman's supermarket makes a great meatball sub with Rosina's restaurant grade meatball that are only availabe wholesale.

My cousin is married to the youngest daughter of the Rosina family. I was offered a job there in the freezer dept. but decided I liked my fingers more than frostbite.

Authentic Anchor Bar Buffalo Chicken Wings are to die for!

Very good, but have you ever had Duffs? They have two locations. Sheridan near Millersport and Union Near Dick Rd. They have won best wings the last 5-6 years in a row.

As well as the Beef Souvlaki Breakfast at the Towne Restaurant! Absolutely, and the best slime dogs are Louie's ([pick any location they are all good) and Zorbas on Transit.

This conversation has my mouth watering.

The only hotdogs I can eat are the natural casing ones from Ruef's Meats.

But chili, cheese and onions are an okay alternative to ketchup, mustard and onions. :-)

"Castleberry’s chili topping is an option."

Castleberry's is pretty good. I really like Texas Pete chili, though...it's kind of greasy, but tasty.

LOL

I’ve had Duff’s wings. Made the mistake of ordering them with suicide sauce...OUCH! The next visit was made with moderation!

I lived a block away from a Louie’s...Love those slime dogs!

A Louie’s Omlette always made my weekend complete!!!

I’ve actually made it through most of the thread. Those of use who like any form of ketchup on the hotdog are in the minority... But your “sauce” sounds pretty good.

I like vidalias, too.

Have a nice Memorial Day!

There’s a local hot dog chain called Sandy’s. I and my wife (rest her soul) loved their specialty, slaw dog with house chili. To be eaten at table only, if you value your car’s upholstery.

;^)

Oh, that sounds good....lots of toppings is messy, but yummy.

The best dog I EVER had was from a little hole in the wall called Meeks’ Delicatessen, in Lynchburg, VA...it closed when I was a kid, but I still remember those hot dogs.

Elcid, condolences on the loss of your wife. God bless.

I like Texas Pete’s hot sauce. It’s the perfect mix of cayenne and vinegar. Great on fried chicken (with honey too).. best way to describe it is a Buffalo Tabasco Taco hot sauce.

But not for hot dogs.
