My apologies to you and Moltke of all people!
The most pleasing car I ever owned, I think, was an M3. I was told at some point that it was “hand-made in Bavaria” as opposed to the regular 3-series. It was a great car, and the M3 is the only BMW I would ever want. There are simply too many jackass BMW drivers... At least the M-Series is a cut above, or a cult car - or something nominally different.
It pleased me for a moment to think that here I, a Jew, was driving a car made with care for me by the progeny of those who almost (between them and the Russians)finished off my family.
But the truth is, frankly, it would have been a great blessing to have been a slave laborer at that time. Very few were chosen.
Anyway all of this is meaningless.
Bentley owners agree robots don’t make better cars (drive a late 80s Turbo R some day,) they just make cheaper cars better, and allow more of the world’s most inconsiderate drivers to drive the car of their natural choice: BMW.
