I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cat as crazy for boxes as Maru.
To: Yardstick
Nope. We just put a nice big box out for the neighborhood cats and they mostly just rubbed it and then lost interest and walked away.
Not nearly as much fun as Maru!

YES! Maru is a Hilarious kat! ha ha ha!
Everyone I share his videos with Laughs and Laughs!
The cats around our place are fun too, but not nearly as entertaining as Maru!
from whom we learn... just how much fun there is in this world, even with small and inexpensive things, if we only permit ourselves to enjoy it

Scottish Fold litters have both folded and perk-eared (straight regular ears) kittens in them. It's genetically harmful to breed folded ear to folded ear SFs, so breeders perpetuate the breed with straight-to-fold breedings. If Maru is indeed a Scottish Fold, he is merely a perk-eared one. That's why he doesn't have the characteristic folded ears. Perk-eared Scottish Folds are adorable in their own way, as Maru obviously demonstrates. So are Maine Coons, as MY kitty obviously demonstrates:

I have 2 that are half siamese, they just turned 18. there is something about siamese that makes them very long lived.

Ugh! I’d prefer that you hadn’t mentioned that! Maybe it’s a piece of rice.

There is Siamese in my cat - Must be something to it.

Not every Scottish Fold has perfect folds. The ones that don’t are pet quality. Still have the personality!

Might’ve sat on something that stuck to his fur. Looks a bit big to be worms...

Well, Maru is PERFECT quality — or, maybe we should say “purrfect” quality. I just love that cat.
To: afraidfortherepublic
Aye, he’s adorable and I bet he’s a hoot to own. He’s always finding something new to play with.
Watch some of the Meow Meow Maru videos if you haven’t seen those...
