DNA collected at roadblocks [see post 73]
Matt Murphy 105.5 fm alabama

Posted on 06/10/2013 6:19:17 AM PDT by saleman

Our morning drive show reported this morning that the Federal DOT was taking DNA swabs and blood at apparent roadblocks in St Clair Co. Alabama.

Pell City Police chief confirmed that off duty County deputies were used by Fed Dot to man the road blocks.

DNA samples were apparently “voluntary”, as one witness said she was offered 60 bucks for blood and saliva while another declined blood but was paid 10 bucks for saliva.

Nothing to see here folks, move along. After all it was “voluntary"

For DNA you only need a giant q-tip and a swab from the inside of your cheek.
Anything more is looking for something else.

Or misinformation; make it appear [to the general public] that a DNA sample requires a LOT more than it does.

I’m not making this up. I’m just telling ya’ll what was reported less than an hour ago. Again Pell City police chief confirmed the story. That’s all I got.

Mods, please correct the source as 100.5 fm. Thanks.

“I will no longer seek medical attention anymore. I’m still young and expect to die young at the hands of fascists.”

My thoughts exactly, I have not been to a doc in 30 years and refuse to provide my DNA to anyone.

My beef is with the radio station. I don’t think they’ve done their homework. I have to bet that they’re hearing things third-hand, and that includes any discussion with the Sheriff or whatever official they had on the air. Who’s offering payment on the spot (cash? check?) and bargaining with motorists one at a time? Or two or three at a time, if there are passengers? I’ve never heard of anything like that under any circumstances before.

Ever wonder what they do with those "disposable" straws used on the hand held drunk-o-meters...even if the subject is found to be sober? Remember, the LEO already has your license.

They likely have it already, but it really doesn’t matter anymore.

I truly do suspect and expect that we will all be imprisoned someday. There’s no escape and few options for us left.

>>I will no longer seek medical attention anymore.<<

I commend your bravery and warrior spirit, but pain is quite the motivator.

Until there are networks of “off the gubbamint” doctors and labs, it’ll be hard to realize what we are talking about.

They were doing their homework, live, and that’s maybe not the right time to do an investigation, but they talked live on the air with the Pell City police chief and he talked (second hand) with a deputy that worked the road block off duty.

Matt had a couple of callers tell him that this was going on. He didn’t believe it but they made calls to Pell City police and County sheriffs office and a couple of other places. That’s called investigating. First one to get back was Pell City.

I’m pretty sure Matt’s not through with this. Maybe he’ll find out there is nothing to it. But right now, it sure looks legit.

There’s more of us than them, we need to demonstrate that sooner than later.

Yea, and the Pell City police chief is in on it?

Needs to be “donated” to the Supreme Court doorstep. I keep suggesting a “Spit On Washington” but nobody wants to do more than keyboarding anymore.

4th Amendment violations, as we all know “requests” under lethal authority can be intimidating and people will comply just to avoid trouble. The government has no right to gather data on people without there having been a violation of law, a warrant under affidavit, and the person reasonably being the person who committed the crime. Anything else is a 4th Amendment violation, voluntary or not.

LOL — No, FReeper Null and Void maintains a ping-list called The Conspiracy Nut-Job Ping List about weird black-helicopter-type stuff. You know the the sort of stuff that a dozen years ago would get you labeled as a nut, but are now everyday news.

You assume they’re not looking for more than that.

MS just passed a law mandating collection of umbilical cord blood to check for paternity in the case of under age birth mothers. Just in case there was statutory rape.

The problem with this is simple. You don’t need umbilical cord blood to test for that. The state *already* takes a DNA sample from the baby to ostensibly test for genetic defects and inborn errors of metabolism.

And keeps that sample indefinitely.

They’ll be keeping the umbilical cord blood indefinitely too.

What’s the difference you ask? Umbilical cord blood can be used as a source of stem cells.

Either they’re just wasting the taxpayers money (in the poorest state in the nation!) for this duplication of effort, OR there’s something else afoot. And storing umbilical cord blood is a spendy thing. Most taxpayers aren’t able to afford it when they have kids.
