Dr. Manny: FDA loss of control on Plan B not surprising
Fox News ^ | June 11, 2013 | Dr. Manny Alvarez

I told you so—the government is bamboozling us about Plan B. The Obama administration announced on Monday that it will now allow girls and women of all ages to purchase the Plan B pill without a prescription. This is exactly what I have been warning the American public about.

I am now totally convinced that our current federal government loves confusion. When you have a single agenda, and many ways to spin it, the American public never gets a clear answer and that is exactly what has happened with the Plan B emergency contraception controversy. …

This is taking parents and caregivers out of the equation and inhibiting their ability to help their children live a healthy and happy life. America, we are being bamboozled. Wake up and pay attention. …

So we abused the NSA into blackmailing some court into approving this, while maintaining all along the stance that we did not want it, and putting on the kabuki theater of an appeal until suddenly dropping it at 11PM on a Monday.

Of course sexually active youth will use this as contraception. Why use condoms or the pill. Just have fun and go shopping the next day. STD rates will continue to skyrocket, and 35 yo women will wonder why they can’t conceive. Perhaps they can adopt. Oh wait we abort babies in the US, and single motherhood is akin to sainthood, so no babies to adopt. Well then off to the reproductive endocrinologist for our in vitro procedure and a new crop of embryonic stem cells to harvest for research and cosmetics....and Satan laughs.

“When you have a single agenda, and many ways to spin it, the American public never gets a clear answer and that is exactly what has happened...”

Typical zero ploy and if I am not mistaken an Alinsky tactic.

Don’t care. We need to teach our children what is right and what is wrong and let the left kill themselves off.

It’s Darwinism at its best.

Your sarcasm was right on the mark.

Our society is concerned now with two issues, two only: race and 24 hr sex.

Confusion is the foundation of all radicals. (see Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals, page 127)

We heard a lot about this “Plan-B”. Except for what chemicals are in it and what are the side-effects of those chemicals and in particular what are the side-effects by age. I assume that the younger the female the more pronounced the side-effects will be.

A teen will be expelled for bringing so much as as an aspirin to school and to buy an over the counter decongestant at a local pharmacy requires the buyer to be 18 and produce more identification than is required to vote in many states. So explain to me how a girl perhaps as young as 11 can simply walk into the pharmacy and buy this potentially life threatening drug no questions asked?

I thought this was old news. Why is it just now in the news cycle?

Maybe because it showed up on Drudge?

“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace” (1 Cor 14:33). Really shows what inspired Alinsky.

Approving & making Plan B available for minors is a deadly mistake for FDA to make.

Firstly, adolescent girls especially those going through puberty are NOT smaller versions of adult women. No one really knows the long term effects of raised levels of female hormones on maturing pubescent girls. Will they have fertility issues later on? Will they have higher breast, ovarian or uterine cancer rates? Is this risk worthwhile taking in view of alternative ways to prevent teen pregnancies non-pharmacologically?

Secondly, will a girl, who had just agreed to sex without a condom, have the wisdom & maturity to make the right decisions about a drug that can help her avoid the consequences of her actions but could potentially kill her?

Will the adult feminists that had a hand in her death lose any sleep over their role in pushing this drug? Probably not.

Aren't there any ecologists out there who will object to pumping yet more endocrine disruptors into--- ultimately --- our water and soil? Or would they really put drugs in their daughters that they wouldn't want in their compost piles?

It tells you everything you need to know about our Culture of Death, that conception, pregnancy and childbirth are under the purview of the "Centers for Disease Control."
