I know we are all pretty charitable but this may help when giving. Not a complete list I'm sure.

The only charity I give to is Salvation Army. No others.

The others can go see that fricking Obama for their booty.

But the police charities still give you a sticker for your car, right?

Shriners Hospitals for Children, and Salvation Army are my top choices from a very short list of good charities.

ALL of my giving is local. The last time I gave to anything non-local was United Way back in 1984.

It’s like Bono’s “charity” that gives 1.2% to those it advertises to help. Maybe that’s why he called it the ONE Foundation?

Looks like a lot of these groups are using the big C to line their pockets.

Disgusting.

I got hooked by one of the law enforcement-related ones on this list years ago, but them came across similar information about how inefficient they were. Next time they called I confronted the solicitor with this and she got rude with me. That was the last dime they ever saw.

Suggestion: support local charities and community foundations where you can walk in and talk to the director, staff, and board members face-to-face. Keep it local.
