Becoming a bounty hunter may soon get a lot easier.
SpotSquad is a mobile phone application in the works that allows users to report illegally parked cars and get a cut of the fine paid as a reward.
Created by a technology startup in Winnipeg, Canada, the app aims to crowdsource parking enforcement at privately run lots and potentially on public streets.
The reporting process is as simple as taking a photo of the car, which is GPS tagged while optical character recognition reads and records the license plate number, then choosing from a list the type of infraction observed -- everything from expired meters to unauthorized parking in a handicapped spot.
Based on the location of the vehicle, the report is automatically sent to the operator of the lot, or local law enforcement if it’s on public property. Then personnel is dispatched to issue a notice, ticket or have it towed.

Actually a great way for the “homeless” in our cities to supplement their panhandling income via Obamaphones.
An app that allows me to report violations to current laws sounds like a OK thing to me. If I had an app that I could fire off a quick handicap parking violation report without having only the choices to call 911 when it was not needed or trying to look up a non-emergengy number for the local police, I would use it.
I park in a Disabled spot all the time. I have a plate, but people think because I don’t look disabled, I’m abusing. First couple of times I showed my hip implant ID when people asked, but since then I’ve changed tactics and say, “If you are not LEO, go pi$$ up a rope.” I’ve gotten to where I hate busybodies.
You know you’re not supposed to drive with the “sticker” up, don’t you?

I might use it for the people who park in handicap space, put their sticker up, and then run into the store.
In our state, it hangs from your mirror, it is specifically not to be there while the vehicle is driven.

Private persons and entities may initiate civil suits to obtain injunctions and treble damages against enterprises that conspire to or actually violate federal alien smuggling, harboring, or document fraud statutes, under the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO). The pattern of racketeering activity is defined as commission of two or more of the listed crimes. A RICO enterprise can be any individual legal entity, or a group of individuals who are not a legal entity but are associated in fact, and can include nonprofit associations.
Here’s what I’ve been pushing: it’s time to file Racketeering, Influencing, and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuits.
RICO lawyers could turn it around in a few years and MAKE MONEY at the same time. I’m surprised they haven’t done it already.
In the absence of enforcement, we can get the word out in the meantime that there is money to be made in filing RICO lawsuits against employers who hire illegal aliens like this jerk.
Employers would have no trouble shutting down the border if they could get sued by someone under the RICO statutes for hiring these people in the first place. The next time an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or somesuch thing, I’m going to point out that the victim’s family might be able to seek compensation from the employer under these statutes in the hopes that it would catch on. If this did catch on, would see such a swift backlash against illegal immigration that no employer would go near these people and they’ll all simply want to go back home.

I was told by the same source that those stop signs and speed limit signs you see on private property are nothing but suggestions and that isn't enforced either unless specifically requested by management.
Of course, state laws vary and within a state from city to city.

if u have a plate, you are entitled to park there, i’m talking about those vehicles without plate or placard
