Pro-Life Priest Calls on Pelosi to Renounce Catholic Faith By Melanie Batley
A Catholic priest active in the pro-life movement said if Nancy Pelosi continues her refusal to condemn abortion, she should renounce her Catholic faith.
The Rev. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, sent the House minority leader a strongly worded letter demanding she explain her position on late-term abortion.
His letter followed Pelosi's June 13 news conference at which Pavone contends she sidestepped the issue.
"We simply want to express frustration that has been long-standing about Pelosi: You can't say you're a Catholic and then betray the faith," Pavone said during a Fox News interview.
"All she has to do is answer a question that she refused to answer in that press briefing: What is the difference between a late-term abortion and killing a baby outside the womb?" he said.
Pelosi said during her news briefing, "As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this. I don’t think it should have anything to do with politics."
Addressing her comments in his letter, Pavone wrote, "With this statement, you make a mockery of the Catholic faith and of the tens of millions of Americans who consider themselves 'practicing and respectful Catholics' and who find the killing of children — whether inside or outside the womb — reprehensible.
"Whatever Catholic faith you claim to respect and practice, it is not the faith that the Catholic Church teaches. And I speak for countless Catholics when I say that it’s time for you to stop speaking as if it were."

I think he should rather abjure her to turn from her sins, do penance (Your penance is to vote 100 times for a balanced budget!) and accept the Catholic faith, rather than what crazy mess she believes in now.
A sign of the times that the word “priest” has to be prefaced with “pro-life”.
Just excommunicate her and be done with it.
The Catholic excommunication ceremony seems to have faded after nineteen year old Joan of Arc was burned at the stake.
I think she has already made it plain long ago she wasn’t any kind of Christian, but just a self-minded excuse monger. So renouncing a church would be redundant. And I believe she has been formally warned.
Even money Fr. Pavone will be assigned a parish north of Yellowknife Canada in the near future. RC Inc. Corporate Directors cant have employees badmouthing big donors ......
Democrats need to just create their own religion because what they’re pushing isn’t Christianity. They can come up with one that is pro abortion, pro homosexual,etc.
Unlikely since Bishop Zurek wants to keep him close to Amarillo as Pavone is a Diocesan Priest.
Any personal knowledge that Pelosi gives any money at all to the Church like her comrade Joe Biden or are you just flapping your gums?

I never quite understood the SBNR thing. It’s like saying I believe in something but I don’t know what I believe.
It’s all part of the secular left’s attempt to denigrate religion while at the same time appeasing their sheeperals’ intense need to feel like they are “a good person”.
SBNR is “I’m a good person who would never impose my beliefs on others because that would be offensive and therefore not something a good person would do.”
I believe half the SBNR crowd picked up this garbage in AA meetings.
