The best Hacker/AI book ever (never made into a movie) was “The Adolescence of P1.”
The BOOK “Colossus” was pretty good too — the movie didn’t even come close to the book.

Ever read "Hackers - Heroes of the Computer Revolution" by Stephen Levy?
It's a great history of who did what, going back to the 50's.

Colossus had the best opening paragraph of any book I had to read in high school english. It was 40 years ago, so I can’t copy it from memory, but if you could look it up you will be rewarded.
