I think the whole airline business could do with a bit of rejeuvenation myself. Most of the flight attendants I see on Delta (aside from the obviously gay male attendants) can only be described as “those middle-aged spreading women with an attitude of the ex-wife type demeanor undergoing menopause.... seriously unpleasant to deal with.

I was in the service in the 60s and flew military standby a lot - primarily coast to coast red eyes flights.
I swear, the crews we got on the "midnight shifts" were 180 degrees from the day crews.
