Craigslist: Essay by a Teacher in a Black School

The truth is usually a tough thing to accept, so I understand if this is flagged. It would be a cowardly thing to do, but I understand it. Some people just ignore unpleasant truths. However, if you think ignoring the problem, or trying to censor the truth, will help our black children improve, you're dreaming. This is important, so I'm happy to repost - indefinitely if necessary. I find it interesting that NO ONE has had the intellect to refute anything in the essay. They can only attempt to censor it, as if doing so somehow makes it invalid. Weak minds, weak minds.

My grandmother, who at age 104, descended from slaves and Native Americans, received a high school education, worked as a nurse and a school teacher in a one room school house. She is better educated and more literate than most of today's college grads. Somewhere in between, something awful happened to the blacks in this country, and I don't believe it has anything to do with genetics.

I am sorry your question is a complete non sequitor. Any parent that says they can't move out of a bad district isn't trying.

I don't completely disagree with you, but I do think it is a fair question. There are a lot of reasons that people choose not to sell their homes and move. My daughter is an example. They live in a nice neighborhood, convenient to her husband's work and many other amenities. They are not completely happy with the floor plan of the house, but they could not get a better house without moving quite a distance away from work, church, etc. They had already decided to home school their teenage son (my daughter's step-son) for other reasons when the school system redrew the lines and they went from being zoned for the "good" high school to being zoned for the "bad" high school. That just made their decision that much easier.

So I think you answered my question - yes, but you would rather move. I like the option of homeschooling because it worked for us and then my kids' school lives were not disrupted every few years by rezoning (like mine was...)

...are you including parents that circumstances prevent them from homeschooling or affording a private school?

Why is not being able to move to a better district a non-sequitur, but this is not? Hmmmm.

I remember coming across this article a few years ago on the Marty Nemko site. It was written by Christopher Jackson.
(It’s since been scrubbed from the Nemko site http://martynemko.blogspot.com/2009/06/white-teacher-speaks-out-what-is-it.html )
This article turned up on numerous sites and caused Libs heads to explode.
(screaming ‘racist’)

I remember it well. The article that turned up on Craig’s list is mostly the same article with some embellishments.
Don’t know if somebody copied it and added to it or what.

Probably you don’t have enough blacks to start any real trouble. They’re not too brave unless there’s a mob of them-and black supervisors to back them up.

Then the Russians moved into the area and all of a sudden there were no more blacks or Puerto Ricans..

I attended a majority black high school in the 90’s, and it wasn’t as bad as this, but it was a “magnet” school. So, they had to meet some standards to get in, and could be kicked out at pretty much any time and sent back to their local ghetto school. Mostly, this meant they would not be too disruptive in class, and save the behaviors described in this article for the hallways and lunch periods. Still, even going to school with the smarter black kids, on their best behavior, nothing in this article was unfamiliar or unrealistic to me.

There was a contingent that didn’t do this stuff at all, but even at the magnet school that seemed like less than 10% of the black kids, so I surmise they were probably not from the ghetto, but the few upscale black neighborhoods, or maybe they just had good parents.

Yeah, the liberals sometimes remind me of the old Looney Tunes character, you know the one who says “I’m going to hug him, and squeeze him, and call him ‘George’”. They decided that they needed to protect blacks from racism, which was nice of them, I suppose, but then they decided that some things which are actually good and necessary are “racist”. They’ve ended up protecting blacks from the formula for success.

Johnson just tried to corral the vote, not make or change a culture.

To Johnson, all blacks were nigga's and he really was not too careful about hiding that.

The culture came from Africa over here via the muslim slave traders. Very pissed off nigga's that other nigga's would sell to white folks. ... um ... cracka's

Had my parents not been part of one of the first waves of white flight out of Dallas, you would have been describing my entire educational experience. Due to where we lived in Dallas, at the tender age of six, I and my sister would have been bused from our SE Dallas neighborhood across the city to a W Dallas elementary school. My parents said ‘Hell, NO!’ and moved to E Texas.

I knew we were not the first and would not be the last. Folks have been fleeing the dysfunctional, predominately minority dominated ‘educational’ system of the inner cities of major metropolitan areas.

If an item is worth posting once, certainly it is worth posting again--even four years later. Am I missing something here?

It's geonocide by demographics, and nobody seems to want to do anything about it.

Given minority voting preferences, that "nobody" includes those who are most directly affected by it. Where is the massive minority voter backlash against the Democrats by poor blacks and Hispanics who would certainly be harmed by the flood of new low wage workers?

I don't know, are you? I just pointed out that this post has a long history. I did not critize the poster for posting it or anything else. (BTW, your first statement is a non sequitur if ever I saw one.)

Wonder how they’d respond to a teacher like Ben Carson? Would love to see that!

Hopefully this will get a lot of tags for "Best Of". Meanwhile, too much of society chooses to pretend those conditions don't exist because of the obvious racial component, and their own fear of acknowledging that.

This, and the religion of peace.

We already know the answer to that. :-(

They booted him from the commencement ceremony.

These kids are not anywhere near high school age blacks this teacher was writing about.....however John Hopkins graduates are worse....they should know better.

Guess it doesn’t matter...educated or not.
