Latest in series of profitable transactions involving rare sheep at farm in Nuairiya
A Saudi farmer has been offered SR one million (Dh990,000) for a rare sheep, but he has refused to sell the animal, a newspaper reported on Monday.
Fahd bin Khattaf said he had just sold a relative of the sheep for SR320,000 (D317,000), the latest in a series of profitable transactions involving rare sheep he has at his farm in the eastern town of Nuairiya.
I have just received an offer to sell this ram for SR one million but I refused. I am making a lot of money from this one through breeding sheep owned by other farmers in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, he told Ajel newspaper.
don’t fault the man for not wanting to part with his wife
The Saudis have expensive taste in girlfriends, don’t they?
A Saudi version of “Romeo and Juliet”
A Saudi version of “Indecent Proposal”... although, I gotta say... she is cuter than Demi...
$270,000 dollars for a sheep, an ugly one
It looks like a male sheep to me. It could only be his wife if he lived in the U.S.
I take that back. Probably didn’t look close enough at the udder.
LOL
No, I take it back again. He says he’s made a lot of money “breeding” this sheep with people who pay him for it. You do that with male animals.
So, not an udder. Right the first time.
Seems he has a good sense of business, a 1 time sale for 1m or multiple sales at .3m 4 sales and he is making more with more possibility of profit.

Them there is lamb-fries, not an udder.
Cletus loves ‘em sliced length wise and pan sauteed with oyster mushroom demi-glace.
Yep. I’ve known a couple of people who owned breeding bulls.
One of them made a million dollars off one bull, and that was quite a long time ago, when having a million dollars meant you were rich.
I also knew a family that raised racing horses in Virginia. Same thing. A good stud is worth a fortune.
On the other hand, that’s one ugly looking sheep, IMHO. Only a Saudi could love it.
I hope you don’t have this problem with humans. jk

You can’t put a price on romance. :-)
I’ve known folks who were part of a syndicate owning partial shares in a prize bull. Better returns than the market!
Never know. Maybe that sheep can talk. Better to be safe than sorry.
