I have done some limited research and strained my limited memory for another American President who left the country for a vacation during Independence Day. Are there any other examples of this behavior?
Disregard... they are White House photos supposedly taken on different dates, July 3 (suit), July 4 (shirtsleeves — but not the same outfit as he wore at the July 4 party.....)
Thank you for noticing that. I thought I was going nuts. He had on a dark green short sleeved shirt in the photo I saw. Same photo later with a suit on.
