San Antonio Police believe shooting was unintentional
A woman was hospitalized with a gun shot wound to the chest after police say she tried to intervene in a fight between her boyfriend and his ex-girlfriend.
The shooting occurred a little before 2 a.m. at a home in the 1600 block of Amanda on the East Side.
According to police, the ex-girlfriend of a man showed up at his house and he grabbed a shotgun.
His current girlfriend tried to stop him and the shotgun went off, hitting the woman in the chest.
Police say the woman was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in stable condition.
Police are still investigating and have not said if the boyfriend would face charges in connection with the shooting.

Call me crazy, but I think there is a teeny-weeny little chance drugs and/or alcohol was involved.
He’ll go back to his ex now - who needs a girlfriend with a hole in her chest?!
What is it about “east” sides of town. With the exception of Memphis and that’s only because there’s a river on the west side.
And we see - again - that nothing good happens at 2am.
Yep, he only meant to shoot his ex, no charges filed.
East side of SA = "one of Obama's sons".
Where does it say anything about him shooting her? It says the shotgun “went off”.
Well, I assume that since “he grabbed a shotgun”, his finger had something to do with it going off.
Boy, it’s a good thing she got some free medical treatment before all the riot victims start showing up.
Memphis does have a west side called West Memphis Arkansas.
It’s even worse than Memphis Tennessee!
You’re right about that. I don’t like stopping in either city. In fact, I wouldn’t want to live in Germantown. It’s too close to Whitehaven.
Wonderin if that B***h had the cojones to Drive in Bexar County with all those Warrants, Now I know.

This does not compute. Shot in the chest by a shotgun usually results in a trip to the morgue not the hospital.
Was this a 200-gauge shotgun?
