Anyone see the beatdown Greta gave that Treyvon Martin attorney?

I think her name was Jasmine Rand. How this woman became a lawyer is beyond me. The verdict didn't go her way so her only defense was the "jury" didn't get it right. Greta called her out and said the prosecution (along with the defense) had no problem picking this jury yet this piece of excrement lawyer was still in denial.

"Hey Jasmine Rand, I think you're better suited wearing a pair of roller skates selling Nathan's dogs at the local car hop!"

Her one word to describe Trayvon was prey. She spelled it. Mark Garagos said they both should be disbarred. If they’re not then all hope is truly lost.

I almost went to law school. I had four lawyer friends write letters of recommendation on my behalf. All four of them handed me the letter and said “If you do this. You will end up regretting it eventually.” Everyone of them hated it. I guess that’s why so many lawyers become politicians. That’s the only thing they’re really qualified to do other than practice law.

Harvard grad, I think not. Even the most liberal of HLS
grads show better judgment than this young lady. From her firm's bio:
Jasmine is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she simultaneously earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both African American Studies and Political Science, while also earning a minor in Spanish. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law

That's a lot of decolletage for a CV photo on a professional site, no?

Photo links to bio.

I read the Chronicles every few years. Apparently they're constantly upgraded as it always seems I find something new each time that wasn't there before :-)

The prosecution thought they were probably getting low information voters and at the conclusion of the trial requested them to use their heart.

Yes they did. Also these six females displayed a lot more guts than I was ever expecting. While the Trayvon convulsions by the Amish are so far pretty limp I am sure they got a lot of subtle and not subtle threats of the ‘we know where you and your family live’ type. These women certainly had much more courage than the whites on the OJ Simpson jury. Their bravery will, I hope, forever kill the constant cravenness about having to bring in the ‘right’ verdict in these racially charged trials so that there won't be ‘riots everywhere’.

Yeah - where can I move where there won’t be Race-Baiters and Gay activists. Grand Forks is too cold ...

Come here to Scottsdale, Arizona. Too hot is vastly preferable to too cold, Sheriff Joe allows none of the above behavior - and you'll get Sarah Palin as a neighbor. :)

All trial lawyers in the US and UK are “social engineer” lawyers. It’s part of the schtick.

utter sleeze.

I keep asking where is the FL bar to deal with all the unethical conduct by lawyers for the family AND the prosecutors.

even Bondi is subject to the FL BAr.

Do lawyers not understand that they are NOT the jury?

Deep inside the comments, this bucket of ice water: Comments

Melissa Carvalho

My name was Antonio West and I was the 13-month old child who was shot at point blank range by two teens who were attempting to rob my mother, who was also shot. A grand jury of my mommy's peers from Brunswick GA determined the teens who murdered me will not face the death penalty...too bad I was given a death sentence for being innocent and defenseless.

My family made the mistake of being white in a 73% non-white neighborhood, but my murder was not ruled a hate crime. Nor did President Obama take so much as a single moment to acknowledge my murder.

I am one of the youngest murder victims in our great nation's history, but the media doesn't care to cover the story of my tragic demise. President Obama has no children who could possibly look like me - so he doesn't care and the media doesn't care because my story is not interesting enough to bring them ratings so they can sell commercial time slots.

There is not a white equivalent of Al Sharpton because if there was he would be declared racist, so there is no one rushing to Brunswick GA to demand justice for me. There is no White Panther party to put a bounty on the lives of those who murdered me. I have no voice, I have no representation and unlike those who shot me in the face while I sat innocently in my stroller, I no longer have my life.

So while you are seeking justice for Treyvon, please remember to seek justice for me too. Tell your friends about me, tell you families, get t-shirts with my face on them and make the world pay attention, just like you did for Treyvon.

Thank you.

Would that not have to start with a petition to have him sanctioned? Who would sign one?

Yes she said ‘Murderer.’ This came from the top Law Enforcement Officer in Florida of all people. It's her job to protect the citizens and instead she joins the mob. I think she should be impeached.

In fact, I can't wait for for anyone and everyone who came of age in the 60’s and early 70’s to just go away. They are the most intellectually challenged generation in our history. It's like they are constantly rebelling against their parents. They are ‘know-it-alls’ in the worst sense of the expression. Their arrogance is exceeded only by their incompetence. Angele Corey is a perfect poster child for that generation. Her mouth is constantly proving her incompetence with each syllable she utters.

The Civil Rights leaders from that era lost their cause the day MLK gave his ‘I have a Draem Speech.’ From that day on they've been reduced to race-baiting extortionist....doing much more harm than good with every controversial incident that comes down the pike. I would never wish death on anyone, but when Jessee Jackson and Al Sharpton ‘retire’ that is when this country can start being a better place for all of us, but especially black Americans. Those guys use black Americans like Bill Clinton used Monica (I know thetas a bit crude, but blacks have just been played for fools by the Jacksons, Sharptons, and Angela Corey's of the world).

With all that said, I sure like the music from that era.

It's dawning on me...the prosecution did not want to win this case. The judge did not want it to go against GZ. Because if, as they say, "justice for Trayvon" had been "served," there would be no reason for marching in the street or community organizing. Zim would go to jail and that would be that. No, they want an excuse to be in the streets. They want an excuse to continue to portray TM as an innocent lamb and GZ as the Grand Wizard. They want an Emmit Till or Medgar Evers (see how far back they have to go for genuine racial injustices?). But all they got was a "white Hispanic." So it's what they are running with.

That Rand woman is frightening. If the police and courts and juries don't do what they want, they'll make them. Bravo to Greta for pointing out that the prosecution picked this jury and presented all of their evidence. Clearly this Rand woman prefers lynch mobs.
