As if family time at the beach isn't wonderful enough, this soldier made his wife and kids' day into the best ever by returning home three weeks earlier than expected after six months in Afghanistan (and three months stationed away from them stateside before that). Capt. Bronson made his grand entrance by scuba diving up to them as they basked in the waves.

My hat is off to military couples who are able to maintain their marriage and family. With the stress, separations, etc., I really don’t know how they do it.

I know — it was really the little kids that did it for me. My dad used to travel a few times a year, maybe a week or two at a time, and I can remember how great it was when he came home. But geez, he was just a businessman across the country or in Europe, it wasn’t like we worried about him being shot or blown up.
