My first thought.....beautiful little girl, but poor kid....her parents think she should have a 'reality show'.....

They want to market this little 4 yr old....they see dollar signs...

So sad....she seems sweet and so soft spoken, I hope they don't ruin her.

“well, that explains why i think everyone’s an idiot...”

From our everyone is an idiot department:

Today my wife was out driving with our 3 yr old son. He spotted a tow truck crew ministering to a stranded car. He asked his mother; “Who are they?” She said, “They drive the tow truck”. He asked “Are they idiots?” She said “No. Why do you ask that?” He said “Daddy thinks everyone are idiots...”

Daddy suspects he mumbles audibly when he is out driving with junior.

That is only true for a test with a specific Standard Deviation.

An IQ number has no meaning without the SD.

A much more accurate description is IQ as expressed as a percentile.

Intelligence Quotient = Mental Age divided by Chronological Age times 100, IIRC. Does this mean her Mental Age is about 6 years old? That my Mental Age is about 106 years old? Tell me what this is about, please.

/// she’s not smarter than me, and I have the paper to prove it. Also have a Mensa membership.

I’ve been to many Mensa gatherings

I'm sure you are and I'm equally sure you're happy this topic finally came up.

Just curious, what do you self-congratulatory geniuses talk about at yer meetings? Porn fantasys, sports or equations?

So who are you, Pinky or the Brain?

Einstein had a terrible memory when it came to things he placed no importance upon...

The story is told that once a person was speaking to Dr. Einstein and wanted to know his telephone number. Einstein went to a telephone directory and looked up his number and read it off to the visitor, adding that he saw no reason to use up his brain space (or some such term) with things that he could simply look up.

This child can write her own ticket in life, she can do just about anything she wants to do. The one thing that she needs to remember, though, is that it will be easier for her to relate to others than for others to relate to her. That’s why her MENSA membership is such a good idea: she will be able to grow up around “like-minded” individuals who appreciate in-depth exploration of ideas.

One of the less intelligent men that I have known claimed to be a member of Mensa. It’s my impression as a result that this is an organization of people who are lacking in self-confidence.

Actually it comes up every now and then. Topics at Mensa meetings are usually very wide ranging from current events to obscure ancient poets and artists. The self congratulatory comment again shows your ignorance. No one feels there IQ by itself makes them important or special. What it usually does make for is a lively group with wide ranging knowledge and interests. Truth be told I haven’t done anything very special with my IQ other than enjoy being smart. I’m handicapped by a privileged birth and upbringing which pretty much allows me to do what I want to do without worrying about the bills.

Doesn’t this simply mean she is as smart as the average six-year-old? It’s a quotient, right? Your age on the test divided by your actual age? Or have they changed that?

Einstein had a terrible memory when it came to things he placed no importance upon, like changing out of his pajamas and into a suit of clothes before leaving the house, wearing shoes, that sort of mundane thing, lol.

I worked with someone who worked with Einstein. My friend's contention is that Einstein also forgot to bathe frequently.

I think IQ loses meaning as you get older. They give the test at the time in the child’s life when it is most meaningful—as I remember, about 7 years old.
