Crime writer Elmore Leonard is recovering from a stroke in an undisclosed Detroit-area hospital.
"It happened a week ago, last Monday [July 29]," his longtime researcher, Gregg Sutter, told the Detroit News. "He's doing better every day, and the family is guardedly optimistic."

I hope for his recovery!!
The mind that gave us, “Get Shorty!”, is the same mind that gave us the story and movies, Tom Selleck’s “Saber River”, and Burt Lancaster’s “Valdez is Coming”.
If not a few more books, at least some of his wisdom recorded, and placed on YouTube, to be accessed by all young aspiring writers!

That being said, I am surprised the see “Detroit” and “Hospital” in the same sentence. I did not know that there were any of them left.
