As Rambo he always liked to draw First Blood. And Sylvester Stallone channelled his famous character as he launched an astonishing attack on fellow ageing action man Bruce Willis. Moments after announcing the Die Hard favourite was being replaced by Harrison Ford in the third film in his Expendables franchise the 67-year-old branded his former colleague 'greedy,' 'lazy' and a 'failure.'

Bruce did 12 Monkeys and Pulp Fiction. Those two alone put him way over Stallone.

If you do a search on “Kevin Smith talks about Bruce Willis” you should find the video on the internet. Its a legendary bit the Kevin lays down. Makes Willis look like a real jerk.

Yeah I was just thinking of 12 Monkeys. Brad Pitt was really good in that too.

I thought Bruce was great in The Fifth Element. Far better than Sly, in any of his films. Bruce was a perfect fit for the part.

Bruce Willis is a supporter of the 2nd Amendment, Stallone is in favor of gun control, that tells me all I need to know.

"Bruce did 12 Monkeys and Pulp Fiction. Those two alone put him way over Stallone."

let's be honest here "Hudson Hawk" puts Willis leagues ahead in acting chops over Stallone. but Sly's Movies are still fun.

There are a lot of people here in Pittsburgh who would still like to take a swing at Willis for his behavior during the making of Striking Distance. And that was twenty years ago.

Great Caesar’s Ghost! If those are recent pictures, Bruce Willis is the only one of the three who is aging gracefully. Stallone and Ford look like albino prunes.

UH...didn't silvie come out in favor of gun control here lately?

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Sylvester Stallone says that despite his "Rambo" image and new shoot-em-up film "Bullet to the Head," he's in favor of new national gun control legislation. Stallone supported the 1994 "Brady bill" that included a now-expired ban on assault weapons, and hopes that ban can be reinstated. "I know people get (upset) and go, `They're going to take away the assault weapon.' Who ... needs an assault weapon? Like really, unless you're carrying out an assault. ... You can't hunt with it. ... Who's going to attack your house, a (expletive) army?"

'greedy,' 'lazy' and a 'failure.'

Translation: Bruce wanted more than Sly was willing to pay to do the next movie.

He's probably worth it after the success of RED.

"And lets not forget Pulp Fiction."

That movie never gets old. I still wait for the scene where Ving Rhames, crossing the street with his lunch, turns and looks right at Bruce Willis, who's driven up to the crosswalk. Priceless.

Kevin Smith is not one to talk. He failed miserably making movies after Clerks, and blamed everyone else for it - fans, internet, critics, and even Bruce Willis for the crappy movie that was Cop Out. I’d hardly cite Kevin Smith as a character reference for someone else.

read the tweets:
--
"GREEDY AND LAZY ...... A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE."

"WILLIS OUT... HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!"
--

sly's big issue is most likely due to contract negotiations with willis

'career failure' would be sly saying 'you'll never work in this town again'

seems like sly's throwing a hissy fit. someone should really tell the hollywood types to avoid tweeting at all costs. it can only bite them in the a**

on a side note, sly might've also caught wind that he's not the big star he thinks he is:

actor lifetime gross
keanu reeves $1,784,317,338
stallone $1,837,495,965
schwarzenegger $1,719,036,934
willis $3,165,792,993

keanu is 20 years younger and he'll blow passed stallone's lifetime numbers soon. catching willis might be tougher, but he's on track

Sly looks pretty good for 67. He's an inspiration to me.

I heard Bruce interviewed recently. He was barely coherent.

I’m guessing Bruce Willis has an I.Q. that is at the very least twenty points higher than Stallone’s. That must be humiliating for Stallone, assuming that he is even marginally aware of the discrepancy.
