I like to think of it this way.

Suppose you built a model of London using Lego-like block which you had carved yourself out of wood. Every building, every sidewalk, every window, door and stairway in all 600+ square miles.

That would be a pretty impressive feat.

Now suppose you designed a single Lego block that then replicated itself into billions more blocks, of all the differing shapes involved, which would sequentially assemble itself (itselves?) into the same model.

Which would be the more impressive feat of Creation??

Well, for those of you who haven't watched this, the production plan apparently was something like:

1) Go to a college campus.

2) Ask a whole lot of people questions about evolution.

3) Select those interviewees who appear the least coherent and knowledgeable.

4) Compile those interviews into the finished video.

Leno's "Jaywalking" is compiled in much the same way.

All I saw was someone asking people on the street if they were atheists and other questions regarding atheism.

I got as far as where he started asking people if they "believed in" evolution, so he could then spin that to be "faith in" evolution because you can't actually watch it happening. I've been around here long enough to know where that's going.

I also recently saw a video demonstrating how Comfort dishonestly edits his videos, by for example pasting in a different question in the finished product than the one he actually asked in the interview. I'm not going to spend all that time with someone I don't trust.

Don’t watch it. I wouldn’t recommend the video to anyone who has already made up their mind.

Didn’t say I’d made up my mind....just that it seemed to consist of one person asking other people questions regarding atheism. Not sure how that accomplishes anything. If there is something else on there that gives arguments to and for or other substantial info, then please let me know.

Btw, I believe in God and creation....not evolution.

Thanks for the post, Logical.

Should have done some homework of my own but it’s a tough crowd here and hard to keep up. :)

Your question (to paraphrase) 'is there anything worth watching on the video' its difficult to answer as I have no idea what you would personally consider useful information.

The producers point in making this video - that those who subscribe to the popular theory that all life can be traced back to some common origin exclusive of supernatural forces have beliefs that are just as rooted in blind faith as they criticizing creationists and those who believe in intelligent design for having - is well illustrated by it.

That is my opinion, anyway.

Thanks, skeeter!

Then it does appear I have no interest as I am definitely not into that. Solidly on the side of creation and God.

And, interestingly enough, just read a great article posted elsewhere here that makes the case beautifully.

Here is the article and the FR post I found it on.

As I posted on that thread, this is something that I have known for a long time but never heard explained. Excellent piece by a very smart man who also is Jewish. I see why God chose them. They are a remarkable people!

You’re talking about Intelligent design? Good analogy.

When God chose ‘them’ they were not remarkable at all according to the Biblical account.

My favorite part - part II on the hydroplate theory.

Genesis 7:11 reads:

“In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.”

Those last 2 statements pack much more natural violence that the Earth has ever seen.

Thanks. Yes I’ve read the geraldshcroeder link too.

I could send you another similar link but you have
enough reading for now. The other, Starlight and Time,
is one of a handful on my FR links page.

Hi there,

I did not see much substance on the first site. Do you have to order a book or DVD to get the full articles?

Thanks,
