Blech. I like women with lovely long hair and I have never been a fan of boyish hairstyles for women.

I’ve never cared one way or the other about a woman’s hair, least interesting part of the body. One pro of short hair is if they have a nice neck, but other than that hair is much more about impressing other women than men.

It’s Not Sexy and Men Hate It

BS. I love women with short hair. Some men hate it but not all. I think that some of the most attractive women I've seen had short hair.

Miley Cyrus was recently No. 1 on the Maxim hot list, an honor rarely bestowed on ladies without classic bombshell hair, which Miley pointed out.

Which shows you how much the term "hot" as been diluted. She is no more than ordinary looking, not even pretty.

When my little sister (the only girl as well as “daddy's little girl”) was a kid my Dad always wanted her to get a pixie. It was kind of a running joke between them.

I am 47 and my hair falls just above my waist. Once as a child (when I also had hair to my waist) my liberal mother cut hers off and demanded that I also get a pixie hair cut. I was devastated.

The second time I mistakenly cut my hair is when I worked in the corporate world and all the women were jealous of my long, lovely blond locks and would make derogatory comments in their jealousy. I was also dating a man with a very corporate family (my now in-laws) and wanted to try out a new 'conservative look'. I regretted it within a month. (Although I think my mother-in-law loved my more snipped sexuality--as this is what cutting my hair off felt like for me.

Finally my hair is back (it takes longer to grow when one is older.). I love it. My husband loves it. My girl friends envy me and every man I meet seems to find it alluring. So hey. My thought is it won't be long until old 'B' and 'R" have their waves back. At first it is new and fun then . . . :(.

A pixie cut traumatized me as an 8 year old. I was getting my hair cut, but it didn’t want it that short. I remember coming home from the beauty parlor, crying, putting a bag over my head.

I have no idea what a pixie cut is but my wife cut her hair short about 50 years ago and she wouldn’t have long hair again if you paid her.

Meh.

Bobs are for amateurs. If they really want to make a fashion statement, they'd go all the way.

Beyonce looks a lot like her husband with her short hair. She’s one who doesn’t look very good with it. It’s probably a wig.

It means you can spend 3 minutes a day on your hair, look tidy, and feel comfortable.

One hears men think long hair on women is “sexy.” Well, I think well-cut suits in a deluxe fabric on men are pretty appealing, too ... but do they care? No, they go everywhere in jeans or shorts and t-shirts (unless they decide to leave off the t-shirts, *shudder*) because “It’s comfortable.”

If my husband will wear a suit unless he’s doing yardwork or in the gym, I’ll grow my “radical feminist college professor” spiky ‘do into a yard of Emmylou Harris hippie silver.

You guys are all wrong about short hair one women. I expected comments that it makes a woman look ‘mannish’ or ‘butch’, but that’s just not the case unless they look this way regardless of their hair length. An attractive woman will look good regardless of the length of her hair.

I actually find short hair sexy on a woman. Of course, she has to be attractive to begin with. But, what it says to me is that she confident, and wants to set herself apart from all the other blonde Barbie dolls that really start to all look the same. To me this is the real turn on.

Back in June, just before going on vacation, my daughter cut her 14 year olds very straight hair from long to an inch or 2 above her shoulders. This is not a pixie cut, tho.
G-daughter is slim and looks very cute - and hated her tangling long hair.
She wears in her hair assorted head bands and flowers.

Just last week she was cast as ‘Scout,’ in ‘To Kill A Mockingbird,’ in a local community theater. Believe her talent would have won over the director if she had had long hair. But also think the visual was inadvertantly helpful . . .
This feminine g-daughter also has a Bearded Dragon in her bedroom - !

I have had short hair for most of my life. In my early 20's I had a just-below-chin length hair; but that was as far as it went.

I have lousy hair. That's the facts. It is thin, ultra-fine (my hairdresser referred to it as "baby-fine") no body at all. In high school I tried to get it a little longer. I would sleep in brush curlers, use Dippity-do (remember blue concrete), get up in the morning, pull a brush thru it and it was completely straight.

Both of my daughters inherited their father's thick hair with a bit of a wave in it (my darker brown color), and both keep it fairly long. So, I really think it is a matter of what kind of hair you've been blessed with.
