How To Solve The Fast Food Strike In Two Simple Words
American Glob ^ | Aug 29,2013

YOU’RE FIRED.

This is a teachable moment for America and I sincerely hope that the owners of all the fast food franchises where employees walked out on strike today take full advantage.

Fire them all, every last one of them.

There are hundreds of thousands of people in America right now who are desperate to find jobs of any kind. This national demonstration by fast food employees, which is happening on the eve of Labor Day weekend (sheer coincidence) is nothing more than the latest McProtest by leftists and union supporters.

The only time flipping burgers is a career is if you own or manage a hamburger restaurant in which case you probably work your ass off for 60+ hours a week and take all or most of the risks.

Working the cash register at a fast food restaurant is not a 9 to 5 forty hour job that pays $40K with benefits. Working the cash register at a fast food restaurant is never going to be a 9 to 5 forty hour job that pays $40K with benefits.

You don’t like working for $7.25 an hour? Welcome to the world, no one does. That’s why resourceful people get second jobs, develop more marketable job skills and volunteer their time to network and make new contacts.

Here’s one more nugget of education for the strikers… You’re not workers, you’re employees and with very few exceptions, employees can be fired by their employer for any reason.

I know some sign carrying douchebag handed you a flyer today telling you all about workers’ rights at the big protest but he’s wrong. If he knew anything about having a job, he wouldn’t have been there in the first place.

If today’s protesters have any sense, they’ll report to work tomorrow and apologize to their bosses. If their bosses have any sense, they’ll say hit the road.

That might not work out as well as expected, Here in LA, a reporter checked and found 16 out of 17 “protestors” were union jerks looking for a free lunch.

***YOU’RE FIRED. ***

That will work but I like the way our old boss(the plant manager from hell) used to say it.

“DON’T let the door hit you in the ass when you leave!”

I spoke to the girl at my local McD’s and told her be carefull. You have no experience with a union, they want your DUES PERIOD.
They don’t give a crap if you get fired for your protest today or what comes later, there will always be a goon to fill your shoes.
I said bye.She thanked me for the info.

I don’t think there is a strike. I think it’s all smoke and mirrors by the SEIU. I wouldn’t be surprised if they paid most of the “strikers.”

Shut down fast food and watch the obesity epidemic start to decline. Maybe Michelle is calling for the strikes?

From the market. Fire those who don’t want to work under the rules and legal conditions of the business.

There was a news story about 75% unemployment among teenagers. Fire those who feel entitled, replace them with those who don’t.

Here in the Seattle neighborhood, the teachers are, once again, gearing up to strike.

Happens every single year in at least one high-impact school district, you could synchronize atomic clocks with it.

And striking by public employees is illegal here, doesn’t matter, the UNION recommends that they accept or reject the contract.

If “doing something” (going on strike) is illegal, I can’t figure out how URGING them to go on strike is not just as illegal.

This kind of crap is RICO type material, IMHO. All the teachers who don’t want to teach can always get jobs flippin burgers!

Firing them only treats the symptoms, not the disease.

Politicians in both parties have conned people into believing that setting a higher magical wage will enable them to get out of poverty and obtain basic skills.

Abolish the minimum wage, like none other than the New York Times advocated for in 1987.

Thomas Sowell's Basic Economics and Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged should be mandatory learning prior to high school.

This is why most all the “strikers” were not actual workers, but just people hired to act like “strikers”. Can’t fire them, because they are not employees.
