When George W. Bush was president, Hollywood stars turned anti-war activists such as Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins were all over the airwaves touting peace.
As America apparently heads to war with Syria under a liberal Commander-in-Chief, such folk are mysteriously silent.
The Hollywood Reporter tried to get comments about the war from Sarandon and Robbins at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend, but was told they were "unavailable for comment."
Included in the "unavailable for comment" list were other predictably anti-war Hollywoodans such as Josh Brolin and Penn Jillette.
To give you an idea just how strong the anti-war silence is in Hollywood, one TIFF attendee was apparently willing to speak with THR until his film's distributor cautioned him against doing so.
So why are these people reticent to express opinions on this looming war?
Is it what Ed Asner told THR last week: "A lot of people don't want to feel anti-black by being opposed to Obama?"
Or is it simply that they totally adore the current White House resident, and much as they were willing to give Bill Clinton a pass for his serial adultery and misogyny, they're now willing to hide their anti-war views?
Whatever it is, Hollywood has once again been exposed for its hypocrisy.
In other words, it’s all politics.
All the fine words, all the impassioned songs, all the marches, all the banging of the tom-toms, all of it.
Just politics.

They have that desperate need to feel morally superior to everyone else — “Hey, you turned your back on the president when he started torturing puppies, you racist!! Not me! I supported him even more when I noticed he was doing stupid, immoral, reprehensible things! I guess I’m much less of a racist than you! Yay me!”

Jack Henry Abbott stabs to death a 22 year old waiter named Richard Adan because the Richard had the audacity to tell Jack he couldn’t use the bathroom. This apparently impressed Susan Sarandon so much, she had to attend Abbotts trial almost every day and then went and named her first male born child Jack Henry in honor of this lovely individual.

Penn Jillete is a bit of a surprise. He’s not usually silent about anything. He’s also an outspoken Libertarian, not an Obama fluffer.

Rich celebrities are mostly captive toadies of new world order. Mostly their wealth is managed by private wealth management arms of Wall Street firms. Their advisors, therefore, tell them how they can help promote the goals of the “powers that be” (new world order globalist financial oligarchy), so this is why they mostly promote leftism - because that’s what NWO wants them to promote. They can then get all the tax breaks NWO has built into the tax code for the wealthy and enrich themselves, they can engage in any sort of immorality that strikes their fancy with practically no legal consequences and they have have their addiction to fame gratified. And of course their career / personal brand can be taken global with great ease as long as NWO gives its blessing.
Celebrities are used by NWO to promote leftism for the populace; the bulk of the poorer classes who are also largely very low on knowledge of what’s really going on in the world. These folks get most of their entertainment from TV and the movies.
Celebrities are also key servants to NWO in NWO’s assault on morality. Constant media bombardment of the the population opposes Biblical morality in every way they can dream up.
