Morris the Cat wouldn’t have one paw, let alone one claw, up on Hercules, the world’s largest living feline.

This liger – a hybrid of a lion and tiger – tips the scales at 922 pounds, and is now entered into the 2014 edition of the “Guinness World Records” book, published Thursday

The poet who said that house cats were invented so mankind could know the joy of caressing a tiger needs to have his sentence fixed to add a liger.

Oh yay! I love that song, one of my faves; and it’s another song that never got the attention it deserved. It’s much better than Bennie & the Jets, imho.

Another one I love that was kind of obscure is “Mona Lisas & Mad Hatters”, but it seems to get a good bit of play on “lite” stations (I’ve been trying to listen to pop music again).

Thanks for posting, what a treat!

Do some research.

Ligers are larger than both parent species because of a quirk of genetics. Tigers inherit the size restriction genes from the male, lions from the female. Thus ligers, the result of a tigress bred to a male lion, are larger and tigons, the result of a lioness bred to a male tiger, are average to smaller, inheriting at least one functioning gene to control their growth.

Can you imagine how big the pet door must have to be for this Myrtle Beach liger?

Do some opening yur eyes.

Didn’t say the cat was fake, just the trick photog used to “enhance” its comparative size and not too well done by the way.
