Emirates airline has uploaded a video where a passenger has proposed to his girlfriend during the flight.

The man gave a bouquet of flowers and cake to his girlfriend and asked her to marry him amidst smiles and applause by the other passengers.

“Will you marry me?” says the man and all the other passengers tell the lady to say “yes”. And she did.

“Yes, say yes, you don’t have a choice,” says one passenger jokingly.

“Congratulations, a very touching and very romantic video, my marriage will be well on board Emirates,” said Ahmed.

“Truly said love is in the air....!”, said Vinay Panchal.

At the end, the two took pictures with the Emirates crew.

According to Emirates, the man proposed his fiancé during Dubai-Johannesburg flight EK 763.

It was unusual as all the previous “proposals” have been statements and not questions as in “You will marry me!” instead of “Will you marry me?”.

This is a UAE flight you know...

Stone or rock set in white gold....I just hope it's not a portent of things to come from Ahmed.

Muslims propose? I thought they just bought women from their parents and then raped them.

What are guys trying to do when they do this - get a “yes” because the other girl/lady will be ashamed to say “no” in a public setting???

I wonder how many of these “public” yeses were changed to nos after a period of reflection.

Is the person who instigates this REALLY AND TRULY thinking of the feelings of the person being asked? (given that maybe, just possibly they are not ready to say yes, or really do want to say no)??? Call me very old fashion but I think that 99.99% of the time a marriage proposal is something that OUGHT to be private. Celebrating it after the “yes”, that’s a different matter.
