WONDERING what to eat this mid-week "hump day"?
Why not try camel?
Fettayleh Wholesale's range of camel burgers has hit the shelves in selected Victorian and NSW Coles supermarkets in the past month.
The NSW company said its product was proving popular with customers and was moving beyond novelty value.
"We've been a supplier to Coles with our halal range and when they found out about our camel burgers they were very keen to give them a go," said Fettayleh Wholesale's Ahmad Fettayleh.
"As you know, millions of camels are feral in South Australia, the Northern Territory and up to northern Queensland, and it's a meat that is in high demand overseas."
He said camel meat was similar to cattle in form, had its own texture and flavour, and its low cholesterol and high protein content made its perfect for health-conscious shoppers.
Taste good but kind of lumpy?
Indeed!
We need a photoshopped “lumpy burger”!
HUMP DAAAAY, YEAH!!!!
The belch by Booger in “Revenge of The Nerds” was a camel having a happy ending.

I’d walk a mile through the dessert for a camel.
“Hey, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike. Guess what’s for lunch today?”
Damn straight...
Eat mor chikn
With “special creme” sauce...
The ground camel was *meh*, but the camel toe was delicious.
