Reminds me of eons ago. If you didn’t like it and taste 2 bites, you sat at the table with it in front of you till you
then, had to eat it all. I hated oatmeal mush. Sat many Saturdays in front of that confounded bowl. Yucky our wolf sat under the table and helped me.

I use it in jelly when serving pork. Often add it to green jello with roast beef.

Wise to keep the strawberries close. Squirrels love them and will continue to root at the net till they get through if at all possible.

Yeh, but I just had to take one bite. I was so skinny that my brother called me names like bird legs and bones.

Eventually, the concern over my underweight led to doses of cod-liver oil, and lots of my favorite foods, gratitude that I was eating something, and less interest in me trying new stuff.LOL

The actual strawberries will appear in spring. Think the plants will go in the net room then due to not only squirrels, but birds, too.

Squirrels like to dig in pots of dirt. Guess they think they are burying a stash of nuts.

Now you’re talking! The borers decimated our zucchini plants overnight. (Maybe not, but that’s what it seemed like.)

What is tansy and where do we get it? What garden bed do we use it on?

The seeds appear to be widely available. Tansy is regarded as a noxious weed in some places~~I would read about it before planting it out in the dirt.

We had lovely rain the past few days in TX. Today I went out to turn the spigot off on my 55 gallon rainwater collection barrel. When I turned the spigot off, water started spurting out all around where it goes into the bottom of the barel.

I would like to kick the fool who must’ve done a lousey job installing that spigot..Oh, except I’m the fool who installed the spigot. I am trying to I am guessing the rubber gaskets rotted..or I should’ve used plumbing putty..

It’s not ever leaked in the four or five years since I made it out of a 55 gallon food grade drum..Guess, I shoul’ve checked it from time to time.

I see i’ve lost all my rainwater, and the barrel is empty. Sigh.

Oh no! So sorry to hear that. Better repair that barrel, and make another one for redundancy in case of future problems?
