I am losing my home on the 31st I have to be out or I can offer $300 for one more month... I'm 18 and just got out on my own, please pray that I can find the means to keep myself off the streets. Thank you and God bless.
Don’t want to seem insensitive, but more background, please.
Why are you on your own at such a young age? Job? Other obligations.
Check his/her home page.
Check posting history.
Look for a share rental, not an apartment of your own. Search Craigslist for possibilities.
Also, check with local churches.
Salvation Army also often has inexpensive housing referrals. If you end up “homeless,” you can often live with them and they will work with you to get you on your feet.
Come on y’all.
She is asking for prayers.
Her Mom is Trussel.
You have my prayers.
Something is bound to give.
God bless and keep you.
Join the military like I did.
My apologies, Onyx and Kidlett. The post just seemed strange. Thanks for clarifying!
$300 is not an astromical amount. Can your parents help? Grandparents or other family members chip in?
Prayers up; may your faith sustain you.
Join the military. French Foreign Legion is also hiring. Lots of Brits, Aussies, New Zealanders, and Americans in FFL now. You still have to learn French.
He should steer clear of Obama’s military unless he wants to be sodomized or left to die at a consulate.
Remember: Obama Cares
Money will come and go...... do not worry, just put one foot in front of the other and concentrate on what is right in front of you
(easier said than done)
Chin up, bro. I was destitute right after college and my friends and family were “broke” (this where you find out who your friends really are). You have to have a sharp mind and even though I was down and out, I had to plan to get out of my bad financial situation. How bad was it? I was hiding from creditors paying cash at apartments. Now I’m in Hollywood...surrounded by fags and liberals.
Lord, I come before you today knowing that all power is in Your hand. I know that you are the Lord and that you care for your people. Right now, my friend is struggling with a difficult trial. I can see her strength is faltering, Lord, and know that you have all of the strength that she needs.
I pray that you will reach down and touch her right now wherever she is at this moment. Let your presence fill the room where she is and let her feel an extra portion of your strength that can help her to get through this day.
She needs you now, Lord, and I thank you in advance for meeting her where she is and shoring up her strength during this difficult time.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
You got my prayers - I was homeless as a teen in the 70’s in LA and had some pretty rough experiences - slept on the roof of commercial buildings when I had nowhere else to crash.

My mom is trussell!
This is kind of hard to say to someone in a tough spot but we have all gone through it.
God is wonderful but don’t wait for him to bail you out.
Take control over your life and change the things you can.
I was in nearly the same place for 3 years back in 1979 and I survived.
I had to donate plasma to have food to eat.
Get a good education in something which makes REAL $$$.
Don’t waste your time with Liberal Arts degrees no matter what the college.
Find one or two roommates.
Learn to live within your means.
Be careful out there as the world is becoming dangerous.
How would we have known that? I don’t go to everyone’s home page and snoop around.
No offense, but why can’t the Freeper mom help her? It’s 300 bucks....
I can’t help after going through my own battle with cancer I luckily won, but surely her mom can help.
Prayers sent for you!
Prayer warriors, please pray hard for my daughter...she’s facing obstacles I can’t help with as I am forbidden from taking her back into my home.
Oh thanks for that. That helps explain why mom can’t help. What an awful situation all around. Prayers up....unfortunately that’s all I can do right now.
Sorry, I meant to encourage your faith.
I pray that every one of your needs will be met.
I would normally give the same advice. With Barack Obama in charge and homosexuals from E-1 to O-10, not so much. Does a community college, trade school or Job Corps site near you provide housing? Where are you? I can search around.
Most big cities have agencies and shelters that SPECIFICALLY work with homeless youth.
Most big towns also have day time shelters for youth and runaways where you can stay warm and dry, and off the street, and catch a free meal or two, and get referred to other agencies that can help you.
Also, talk to other kids on the street.
Often, they will be VERY WELL informed about the BEST assistance you can get.
One RED FLAG does come up when I hear a story like yours, though.
When an 18 year old like you can’t get help from Mom or Dad or Brothers or Sisters or Aunts and Uncles and cousins, or friends, that often means you have a drug or alcohol problem or a criminal record or a history of disruption or violence or family theft.
You may have to really suck it up and completely change your behavior before you can solve this problem.
Thank you so much. God bless
She was pressured into moving out by a “friend” who promised to pay the expenses just for her to be there for comfort and companionship...now that person has turned their back on her and is kicking her out unless she can pay $300 a month, and she’s back in her wheelchair and unable to work...she has applied for disability, but you know how that goes...long-drawn out process!
She use to post in the canteen as a guest, child thread host
From my earlier post, I will do what I can. I was a career counselor for many moons and something of a social worker, too.
That’s how she is currently living, but she has had to apply for disability as she is back in the wheelchair and unable to work...the person who talked her into moving out of my home promised to pay the expenses if she would move out and move with them...and now has turned their back on her and is forcing her out. If something is found soon, she will have to go to the city and live in the shelters or under a bridge in a tent. I’m worried, but I’m forbidden from letting her come home by my landlord
Prayers sent for you.
You have our earnest prayers for guidance and relief. Please use caution in your choices, ask for assistance from a reputable church, and don’t think it will resolve itself without doing hard work.
While your problem is immediate, reflect on the choices you come up with as time will allow.
I left my home to take care of a friend that begged me to help them after I got them out of a bad situation. They said they told me they would take care of my side of rent so I left with them and things fell through, so now I am out of a place to go, with no job and nowhere to go.
this was from my mother that set it up for me a long time ago.
Prayers for you AND Kidlett!
She wanted to join the Air Force, but cannot as she is in a wheelchair from multiple conditions. She has spondolysthesis, vertigo, and a conversion disorder.
Winner! Idiot post of the day.
I am her mother and I am filing for disability with a zero income until that is decided. Her gramma is also on a fixed income due to a work related accident that took her ability to work away. That is all the family she has as her father is worthless, doesn’t pay support and claims he can’t get a real job
Mostly Poles and other East Europeans, eager for that French passport at the end of 5 years.
> Get a good education in something which makes REAL $$$.
Law, Medicine, Engineering, Finance.
Though after 0bunga-care, I’m not sure about Medicine anymore.
I thought you were a boy, not a teenage girl.
That makes assistance MUCH easier.
Many states actually have laws that COMPEL the state to pay for shelter for homeless women.
Make a few phone calls - in most towns you’ll be in some kind of shelter before sundown.
Check the rape rates, then come back.
