The legendary Swedish pop group ABBA is mulling a possible reunion next year, singer Agnetha Faltskog said in a German newspaper interview Sunday.
Next year marks the 40th anniversary of the band's first hit "Waterloo", which won them the Eurovision song contest and catapulted them to fame.
ABBA subsequently became one of the world's best-selling pop bands with a string of number one hits such as "Mamma Mia", "Dancing Queen" and "Super Trouper

I like them dont hate me
They should’ve done it 25 years ago.
they must be bored and broke
At least they’re younger than the Stones.
We play ABBA cd’s around the house all the time, it’s my little kids favorite band
Okay. That is just weird.
I try not to judge gay men.
Saw the Stones here live in the OC months ago. Jagger was incredibly energetic for an 80 year old while the rest of the band looked like they need to take their meds before they return to a seniors home.
Your kids are girls, right?
That's a dragon's name isn't it?
They’re at the age when “Waterloo” may refer to an incontinence problem.
It may work, if they can adjust it to a group of adults. There should be no “59 years old, but going on 29 years old pretentiousness in their stage attire, or choreography. The harmonies will need to be condensed or simplified, because I doubt the ladies can sustain those high octaves for a complete four-measure tone. Look at poor Linda Ronstadt, I believe she has stopped singing in public, because of memory trouble. Good luck to them though, many people still like the cheery feeling of ABBA. One of my favorites was “Fernando”.
Careful, G Gordon Liddy is a big ABBA fan.
I sat and watched almost all of that im a sick
Keith Richards has wrinkles on his wrinkles.
bad girl as im cleaning up my mil accident while she is on her way to urgent care
I like them too. Great harmonies.
G gordo where in the hell is my mustache dye liddy
Wasn’t there a deal proposed years back that would have guaranteed them a billion dollars?
Mayne it was a billion Kronas or whatever the heck...
Benny and Bjorn are two of the wealthiest people in Sweden.
That's a dragon's name isn't it?
No, I beleive it's a Tolkien character from The Hobbit. ;p
Oh geez ...!
Gadzooks, dogg-- You almost gave me apoplexy... as I thought it was the Awesome Busty Babe Association getting back together!
And some of them gals... still hold a grudge!
Shoot me now.
Hey I like them too...
Then again have you seen Agnetha recently? She did a solo album awhile back that supposedly featured the longest videod kiss. Laz might have it it but...I did not want. Looked like an old skank trying to hold on.
Scandi gals are great but most have a very short shelf life.
Anni probably aged better but last I heard she was in Austria or nearby and wanted NOTHING to do with the rest of the group. That was probably ten years aho though so maybe her royal hubby is running out of cash.
Frida was definitely the better looking of the two, except when she had the Fro working.
The world can use a music group that can actually carry a tune without a machine.
Don’t feel bad. I used to visit the ABBA website once a day. Was even on the fan forums. The end pretty much came for me when Agnetha did a bad solo album and especially after that hortid Mama Mia movie.
Still enjoy the music though and I ...for one, probably the only one...like Benny and Bjorn’s “Chess.”
Didn’t we all, didn’t we all...
AGNETHA FALSTOGG WAS INTEVIEWED ON MAY THIS YEAR ( she had been sort of a recluse for nearly 25 years ). Full interview here:
On 10 May 2013 (13 May in the UK; 14 May in North America), Fältskog released a new album called “A”, produced by Jörgen Elofsson and Peter Nordahl.
In the UK, the first single “When You Really Loved Someone” had previously been released for download on 11 March, with the accompanying video also released on the same day. In Germany, the first single was “The One Who Loves You Now” and it was also released for download on 11 March 2013. The album includes a duet with Gary Barlow of Take That, called “I Should’ve Followed You Home”.
In June 2013, officials from Universal Records in The Netherlands revealed that 600,000 copies of ‘A’ were sold in the first two months after the release. A TV special made by the BBC helped the album reach number six in the UK Charts. The album made the top five in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Australia. The first single from the “A” album to be released in the US, Dance Your Pain Away, was released on 28 May 2013. The digital single included two new mixes by Smash Mode.
“Dance Your Pain Away” was released internationally as a single on 15 July 2013.
Here’s a video of one of the songs in her latest album “When You Really Loved Someone”:
Barney Frank will be thrilled!
They’d be TERRIBLE in a reunion.
Let it lie.
no thanks, that’s okay....
and feathers. the guy on the right, feathers.
I was going to summer camp in upstate New York (Sabatis Camp) with a group of about 20 scouts and adults. The song Waterloo was a hit at that time. We stopped off at a roadside diner somewhere in New York State for lunch. On the table top jukebox, they had Waterloo.
One of my fellow scouts put some money in the jukebox and pressed the numbers for Waterloo to play. It did. Over and over again for the entire time we were eating lunch.
It took a long time to get that song out of my head. Even today, if I happen to hear that song, the first thing I think about is sitting in that diner back in 1974.
I believe ya’. All of my dates since high school, I always research what music they like before I stick the CD in. Gets you to first base ;). I discovered Sade transcends dates and girlfriends.XD
And when Frida hit Agnetha on stage. Money shot around 2:40 - 2:50.
