Skip to comments.Question:Is Global Warming Responsible For The "Early November Winter Weather" This Week?
Posted on 11/13/2013 6:23:49 PM PST by Cruz_West_Paul2016
And just as Obama "Apparently Passed" a global warming related piece of legislation, the entire east is already experiencing December weather in Mid-November. Are we all laughing? And will Al Gore postpone any scheduled "Global Warming Summits" till June? Us conservatives will be laughing at Barry and Al right thru April just like we have been since the winter of 2009!
18 degrees here in southern Michigan this morning. That’s nearly 20 degrees cooler than the average for this time of year.
i can just picture al gore buying a space heater just about now.
Eighty degrees here today:-)
We have already had a number of nights in the”Teens”in southern VT!Where is this”Global Warming”???????????????
It’s not global warming anymore. It’s climate change. That way, these clowns can be “right” no matter what the weather.
Whatever it’s called, it’s still a scam.
Al Gore has bet the farm on Carbon Credits.
Real or not, he is entitle for his fortune.
He was in love story don’t you know.
Paid his dues, wants his payday.
Abused his dog while a VP.
I figured that ManBearPig was passing through.
We’re toughing our way through AGW here on the San Fran Peninsula — 74 here today. Haven’t turned the heater on yet, but have had lots of fires in the fireplace and the new heated floor in the kitchen sure feels nice underfoot. The older kitty likes it a lot, too.
In short: no.
Globul worming was supposed to bring us milder winters with no snow and hotter summers.
That has not happened.
How many So. Californians do it take to change a light bulb?
A visitor from Fresno county to do the work and five heads to stand in a circle an groove on the experience ..... (”Now, turn it on man!”)
What’s your record low for this time?
We’ve been running warm for 2-3 years a couple hundred miles south of you.
Have an ice fisherman friend who is excited as can be. Hasn’t been enough ice here for a couple of years now.
Regresses in the fall.
Well, it’s not 18 just north of Houston but I have lived here since 1985 and this is the earliest I have ever turned the heat on. I would expect it to be cold in Michigan in the winter but our thermometer registered in the low 30’s this morning - really cold for our part of the country.
And no, you don’t have to say “poor baby”!!! LOL
31 right now in northern mid- tn going down to
22 by morning.Brr,been cold for almost a month
We can hardly get the cat to go out before lunch.
Global warnings gotta be a tough sell this winter
I’ve seen it get about this cold about this time here for the past fifty years, long before “glo-bull Warming” became a byword.
It kills the ticks and chiggers.
We say “poor baby” to you all when you hit June........July.........August.........
I hope all the global warming freaks freeze to death!
Cooling happens, gosh, in ? WINTER !
In a serious answer to your question, no. The Sun is unusually quiet right now. Less radiation means less heat for us.
The great burning demon runs away in fall, honest!
The ice goddess chases the fire god away.
I wonder if Global Warming caused the Ice-Age of 10,000 B.C.
Someone reported that same temp in a shaded area of Sweetwater Texas this morning. We were in the 20's in West Central Texas. Usually that occurs in Jan and Feb, not before Turkey day.
A little more seasonable tonight with temps right around freezing and highs in the mid 40s tomorrow.
The ice goddess chases the fire god away.
That's as good a summary of the "science" of global warming (or cooling) as I've heard........
All hail the ice goddess!
Yes, makes just as much sense as algores religion.
November is still fall. Sept, Oct, Nov = Fall. 18 F two weeks before Turkey day in Sweetwater Texas is not normal. This is gonna be a nasty winter. We have extra atmospheric energy due to Solar maximum, but the maximum is weak (magneticaly). This summer was very mild even though we had solar maximum. 45 year record low for US hurricanes. Also a low Tornado activity year, even though we lost a few storm chasers at the beginning. So we have atmospheric energy being assimilated into an ongoing cooling period. Expect some nasty winter storms. Big time winds. Lots of snow.
Yes, it is WAY colder than “normal,” but the dropping of leaves and changing of colors is two weeks behind schedule. It has been warmer than normal some days...my lilac brush has been getting ready to leaf out.
The “weather person” has been wrong on most extended predictions here for the past two months.
now wasn’t it cow/horse farts that were the primary cause of global warming? or was it republicans driving SUV’s?
things crusted over pretty good here last night, too.
“18 degrees here in southern Michigan this morning.”
It is 95 degrees here. It was 95 yesterday. It will be 95 tomorrow. It will be 95 most EVERY day, even on Christmas.:P
Albert Goreon smiles.
As I so much wanted to ask a whacked out GW customer I had to deal with one bitter cold winter day; what part of “global” and “warming” aren’t you putting together?

It is the solar max, but it is a very low one...the lowest for around 200 years.
The sun is going into an extended minimum, which I think will lead to another period like the Little Ice Age. People will be wishing for some good ol’ global warming in a couple of decades...IMO of course. :-)
(I also wonder if folks realize that if CO2 does in fact cause sufficient warming, we might stave off the next Ice Age, which would be a HUGE win for humanity...)
The calm before the storm.... one year it’s no actitivty and then next year all hell breaks lose.
It’s gonna be a cold one this year. I can deal with it just as long as we don’t get the snow too..........
I’d rather have the snow.
It was 85 degrees in Laguna Beach yesterday. Today we’re shivering. It’s 65 and overcast. If the sun doesn’t break through these clouds soon I may not make it through the day.
