Man has created so many different looking dogs. A lhasa apso looks nothing like a greyhound. A Dachsund has no resemblance to a Pomeranian. All these dog breeds have evolved from one source..wolves! Just imagine if man could create such variety in 30,000 years or less, what can nature do in 1,000,000,000,000 years since origin of life on earth. No wonder there are Billions of different species on earth.
30,000? How about a thousand or less for most breeds. I doubt the Flintstones had a Chihuahua. (It was a little brontosaurus, wasn’t it, named Dino?)
Terriers from Scotland. Rotties from Germany. Bulldogs and bird dogs from England. All bred for specific purposes. Artificial selection, and over centuries, not millennium or epochs. Your point is well taken.
Long live dogs, mans best friends!
