A 52-year-old man who allegedly fired a Civil War cannon at his neighbor's house for eight days straight during an ongoing feud was arrested yesterday.
New York's Brian J. Malta is accused of repeatedly firing the antique long tom, loaded with a powder charge and wadding, at the Prosser Hill Road, Jamestown property.
While it is not illegal to own a cannon, deputies reportedly confiscated it because it was used maliciously.

And what kind of wuss puts up with getting shot at for 8 days? Blanks, so what? Plenty are dead because of “blanks” (Brandon Lee a notable example).

If the neighbors had any gumption they would have sneaked in in the night and drove an iron spike in the touch hole.

I read an article by a fellow who asserted that he used a 3 inch civil war era design mountain howitzer to take a deer.
Poor deer. It was hit by about 10 of the 12 gauge size balls (.73 inch or 18mm diameter).
