If you heard this from a fellow co-coworker, an armed one no less (a police officer), how would you interpret this declaration?
And, he just went down, meaning lost his job finally after years of issuing threats against me and others. In fact, he told many witnesses to come and watch as he took me down. This individual has made it clear he blames me even though I was not around for many of the incidents, including his last one where he flipped out on officers from two other agencies. He lost his job on account of the last incident, involving none of us he has as his targets.
Why am I writing this vanity? I'm not sure entirely, other than to document it.
Believe it or not, I have in writing from my employing agency that they acknowledge that he made these statements.
I am a police officer who has crossed the thin blue line many times.
Cyber ant-Thought maybe you might have some relevant input here? or at least some payers, if nothing else.
There are probably people on this forum who have been abused by the police in the past...one should not metaphorically beat on a fellow Freeper, but I cut posters some slack when I have no idea where they might be coming from...it is always possible that the poster lost a family member, friend or a dog to the police at some point.
I wish I had some practical advice here, but all I can offer is my prayers and best thoughts for you and your family, KJC1. Stay safe, man.
Still, this guy -- being here from 2004 with a good record of being on 'our team' and even possibly likely to fight on our side if the police are ordered to implement the outright tyranny -- this guy, he's the wrong target.
Guess I’ll be the odd man out and state there’s not enough background to make an informed decision. This vanity post could be documentation for you to CYA good or bad.
Christopher Dorner
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Dorner
Christopher Jordan Dorner (June 4, 1979 February 12, 2013)[4][5] was a former LAPD police officer and United States Navy Reserve officer who was charged in connection with a series of shooting attacks on police officers and their families from February 312, 2013. The attacks left four people dead, including three police officers, and left three police officers wounded. Dorner was the subject of one of the largest manhunts in LAPD history,[6] spanning two U.S. states and Mexico.[7]
On February 11, 2013 the Riverside District Attorney filed charges against Dorner for the murder of a police officer and the attempted murder of three other officers.[8] The following day, Dorner died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, during a stand-off with police at a cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains.
Up until the shootings, Dorner was living in La Palma with his mother. Dorner left no children and court records show that his wife filed for divorce in 2007.[9]
I would convince him that I’m not his enemy and throw him a bone or two so as to stay out of his crosshairs.
I will pray a novena for you. Cop or civilian of course has nothing to do with it - someone has threatened your life and is unstable and the laws cannot protect you here, cop or civilian.
You can do two things - get your soul in order, that you pray for this guy, sincerely, and accept the fact that he would decide the day and time, or some emotional trigger would/could, and that you will be at peace with accepting the outcome and would forgive him right there.
You could then contact him by phone, apologize that he’s suffering so, and ask to meet him in a safe unarmed place, like a courthouse or airport - and face this man you have been praying for, and ask him to forgive the folks he’s angry with so he can start a new life without that anger burden on his chest, for his own sake as well as for the others who need their own burdens lifted by forgiveness.
If he’s not right, this could accelerate things, but at least they will be clear and gotten over with. On the other hand, he may just need to see someone gave a dang, not as a new friend, but as a concerned human being, trying to learn from Christ.
Living in fear is worse than death. Facing it down with the love and mercy of Christ is the only life.
Have a neighbor who`s a vet, would mix his prescriptions into a cocktail and then stalk his neighbors saying he was going to kill them. When he said “and I`ll cut your throat, too, fat boy” I laid my left hand on his right shoulder and plucked his windpipe with my right, and squeezed both.
He still lives here but he`s reformed...no more “killing sprees”. We`re friendly enough.
Can this guy be brought up on charges like criminal threatening, assault, etc?
It would seem that the result of any sort of criminal charge would result in the loss of his firearms. Even a restraining order from the guys who were threatened would aid in the physical defense of yourself and your family, as well as forcing some extra interest from the law.
It’s tough to know what the best course is. My instinct is that this guy is a coward who has never been brought to heel, which only emboldens that type of personality. Perhaps it is time that he was taught an unexpectedly forceful lesson.
How many people did he threaten besides you?
The more people it is, the easier it might be to keep tabs on him.
I had a stalker in 2009, although I knew he was a harmless coward. At the time, I found some tracking chips that were sold online. They were magnetic and could be hidden under a wheel well. The software would enable online tracking in both real time or as a record. Perhaps this is something that you could have a PI place in his car. That way, you might have better piece of mind - OR, in fact, know that he’s doing drive bys of you, your partners, or the station.
We're talking about a psycho here, or possibly a raving lunatic, not a rational calculating killer, though he may also calculate.
Actually I believe you already now the answer to the problem. Why include FR?
How long would a “bad cop” stay on FR? I don’t think one such could put up with it very long.
Well, loss of his legally obtained firearms, anyway. Legal action by the this guy's declared target is useful only if he is jailed immediately after the complaint is made and there is ironclad surety that he will go to prison for many years without any bail time.
Prayers for you and family! Will this guy lose his guns/small arms with what he has done? Is there a chance this guy will go “postal”?
In the best case, he could be referring to a legal threat to report on other officer’s misconduct.
In the worst case, he should be tailed every hour of the day and night, by off duty officers, who care about their safety.
(as long as that doesn’t turn into a revenge or set-up mission)
Be prepared to have to puncture his brainpan soon.
Prepare for worst case, hope for the best.
