The picture they used for XTC is well over 10 years old. Andy and Colin haven’t spoken to each other in years.

Andy still puts out new demos of songs on his website, and they’re still just as brilliant as the stuff from XTC’s heyday.

Any list of gracefully aging 80's musicians without Joan Jett represented is simply bogus.

Too bad she plays for the other team, but always liked her music.

No, no running going on with her. It's sad, really, because she was quite a looker back in the day....and that voice...damn could she sing.

The Go Go’s, The Bangles, and Bananarama, yes indeed.

The other one that comes to mind is Basia.....but she still has the fantastic voice.

She always sort of came across as teetering on the edge. Her Wuthering Heights, remixed in 1986 to great effect, remains one of the most stunning vocals in pop history, imho. If you know the backstory to the lyrics it's otherworldly, lol. She's dead, so cold, pleading to be let into her love's house in order to be forgiven.

Does he still live in the forests in a small house made out of bus ticket?

/ “Might Boosh” reference.

Me too. I really loved and miss the big hair too.

Plus womens fashions, although some were bizarre, tended to lean towards the feminine. Lots of ruffles, lace and such. Unlike the crap that is popular today.

I used to think she was until she came out as as an almost militant pro abortion supporter. Turned me off.

Great stuff! New Wave 80’s is my favorite type of music. Now I feel old looking at some of these folks. Yikes...

What? No love for Aimee Mann?? She was hot then, she’s still lookin’ good and she seems to be comparatively normal. She’s even married to a guy! Hush, hush..
