Two of the Ramones are dead, or is it 3? Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee...
So is Joe Strummer of the Clash. There was a short film showing him behind the scenes and at the end we see him wearily getting ready to go on stage again and you think,
not too long after that was filmed, he would be dead. (Wiki: Strummer died suddenly on 22 December 2002 in his home at Broomfield in Somerset, the victim of an undiagnosed congenital heart defect.)

She had a vegetarian restaurant going in her native Akron OH, right next to Luigi’s, a nice Italian place I went to. The veggie place went under due to lack of business. Thinking of the lyrics to My City Was Gone, aka Rush’s theme song,
I thought: I went back to Ohio, and my restaurant was gone...
(saw her once on TV wearing a T shirt saying “Where The F-— Is Akron Ohio”)

Yeah—friend of mine is big time into her. I recall her singing Wuthering Heights on Sat. Night Live

Gary Numan’s still making albums. They’re pretty good, too.

A few weeks before his death, he performed a few Clash songs with Mick Jones.

Yeah he was a big time lefty, but that was one of those sudden deaths that hit me like a punch to the gut.

Dear Lord, what happened to Kate Bush?

I think I'll choose to remember her from the cover of Lionheart instead.

“Looking at all of those pics and names reminds me of how much of the 80’s music sucked.”

HEY! Hey now-them fighting words!

The most disturbing thing you will see this year.

But hey, Shane McGowan got new teeth!

I knew that would get someone going!
The best music out of the 80’s was Stevie Ray Vaughn!

Some of them no longer with us, like Patty Donahue of the Waitresses (”I Know What Boys Like”, “Christmas Wrapping”)

Ben Orr of The Cars is the one who came to mind while going through the pics.

Funny how Fish of Marillion, wound up looking like an exact cross between Peter and Phil.

That Marillion didn't enjoy more success is some mystery to me. Superb vocals; simple, haunting melodies, and thoughtful lyrically. Go figger.

But then again, you know what they say about the masses.
