Obama: Republicans Must Be Embarrassed For Having Done So Little

Republican lawmakers have to be embarrassed with how little they've accomplished in Congress, President Barack Obama said in an interview with MSNBC Hardball's Chris Matthews.

In the interview which aired Thursday night, Obama said the only thing that's stopping Congress from passing a major immigration reform bill are House Republicans. He went on to say that Republicans are probably ashamed that they've accomplished so little over the past few years in Congress.

I heartily accept the motto,—“That government is best which governs least;” and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which I also believe,—“That government is best which governs not at all;” and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have. Government is at best but an expedient; but most governments are usually, and all governments are sometimes, inexpedient.

—Thoreau, Civil Disobedience

We have done plenty and we're proud of it. Resisting the tyranny of Barack Obama is hard work.

Put that in your bongs and smoke it rats.

Millions of Americans would be much happier if the wimps in the GOP had brought charges of impeachment against this dictator, who makes up the laws he wants and ignores those passed by Congress that he doesn’t like. Where in the Constitution does it give him that authority?

The productivity of Congress should not be measured by how many laws which liberals were in favor of passed.

Republicans can’t pass any bills on tneir own anyway, because anything they pass in the House has to get through the Senate and pass muster withObama too.

If the GOP has been an obstacle to passing some bad bills, then that’s all good in my opinion.

Congress and the GOP in particular, should not be judged on the liberal criteria of how many good liberal bills were passed.

That the writer had the audacity to write this title is enough reason to discard any trust in it. They love to peddle ignorance as though it were some deep intellectual process that theyre walking you through when in reality it is them lying to frame those they politicall and socially despise.

Well damn, 0bama is right, and not lying for a change.

The Republicans, without a majority in the senate (lower case on purpose), should still impeach his Kenyan muslim marxist's ass. Then the Pubbies would have accomplished SOMETHING.

Nice try but we’re aware of the game. Obama and the Senate act as shields against each other (a plan no doubt cooked up by Chuck Schumer). Obama says “nothing got to me so I couldn’t sign anything so I’m not responsible.” And Harry Reid says “the president said he’ll veto X so we’re not even going to go through the motions of passing X, so we’re not responsible,” “You know who’s responsible, those evil republicans who have been passing bills that will never become law.”

In many respects republicans have done little to really stop this tyrant; instead cowering in fear that they cannot possibly oppose the first black president. A large part of them are gutless wonders who like governor Le Petomaine in Blazing Saddles famously took the stance: “We have to protect our phoney baloney jobs here, gentlemen! Harrumph! Harrumph! I didn’t get a ‘harrumph’ out of that guy!”

That guy being a Tea Party guy and the rest of us who are not GOPe.

Not even close. A move to impeach Obama would result in millions of Americans are going to make his approval ratings sore. That is simply the truth of it.

You and me Brother. Republicans should be ashamed for not backing Ted Cruz to the hilt when he tried to stop Obamacare. They should be ashamed for not bringing charges on fast and Furious, Benghazi, the Order not to uphold the law in DOMA and Immigration and for not stopping Obama illegal executive Orders.

Obama is right the republicans should be ashamed for not doing enough to stop this hybrid turd from destroying America.

And now we read that Boehner is trying to sneak in the back door with Amnesty. Republicans should be ashamed for having this crying fool as Speaker of the House.

Huh, they helped to increase the budget, increased the national debt, passed the gay protection bill, failed to protect the border, etc. They do enough damage already.

Who cares what he says in that interview? The only people who are interested are the other TV talking heads who never tire of talking about each other and calling it news.

This week the leftwing abc news radio called the GOP majority congress “do nothing congress” for its amount of legislation passed.

Only leftists would think there’s something bad about that.
