Life wasn't worth living.

I’m sure the weight didn’t help the poor kitty but the article stated he was born with a heart defect. RIP.. kitty.

I’m not surprised that the poor thing kicked off. Forcing a sedentary fat cat to exercise is the same as forcing a sedentary fat man to exercise. The heart is already weakened by lack of strenuous activity, and clogged with blubber. It can only work so hard before it gives out. And a six-year-old cat is the equivalent of a 40-year-old man. I have a fat cat, but he’s a street cat who has never been neutered. He’s fourteen years old and in the prime of his life, as far as he knows. He gets his exercise by chasing squirrels and beating up other cats and yappy little doggies.

At the end...

All one can say, is that they loved him, cared for him, and respected him as an autonomous being...

If they did NOT do the above, then they must grieve with regret and remorse...

Treat your kittehs accordingly, despite their -human- shortcomings...

Poor kitty. The idiots who owned him before and allowed him to get so obese are to blame, but they’re dead already—probably from some similar cause.
