2006-09 they were 46-18. 4 straight playoff appearances. Choked as the 1 seed in 06 lost late lead to the Pats, made it to the Conf finals as WC in 2007, WC in 2008 and won a single game, 2 seed in 2009 and upset by the Jets.
Lately they’ve seemed to start poorly and play better later in the year.
Over, seems like most onside kick attempts I see never make it the required 10 yards.
So who had the balls to pick SD? Nobody?
That is why I’ve picked against them more since then. I can pick them over DEN when all things are equal and I guess tonight they were.
Whoops! You haven't used HOU yet?
Full congrats to the Chargers, winning at Mile-High.
I could be wrong but it always seemed to me, big rivalries in the AFC West and they are among the biggest in the NFL and go back to the AFL days are between the Raiders, Chiefs and Broncos. It’s always seemed to me that the Chargers were never as heavily into that. I could be wrong but to me it seems that way.
If the Raiders EVER get good again that will really heat up the rivalries.
The senile old man has been dead a couple years now. No more excuses.
Basically, they irma.
Yep. Upset special.
There’s just some great rivalries, Eastern NFC is the same way, rivals forever but it was probably not as intense with the St. Louis Cardinals when they were around and in that division though I know there were still some good games.
Dolphins Patriots, to me one of the better rivalries, I know Jets Patriots is suppose to be too and if the Jets are good would be again. But I think Fins Pats is usually a good watch. A real history.
Even when say this year, the Redskins are poor, still a bit intriguing to see them play the Eagles or Cowboys.
Redskins still defeated the Chargers of all things, shocker, Redskins beat the Bears too.

“Even when say this year, the Redskins are poor, still a bit intriguing to see them play the Eagles or Cowboys.”
Indeed. Sometimes a rivalry dies down when a team is bad (especially if they are bad for long time) but the hate seems to flow freely in the NFC East.
Bender has been wearing his “deadskins suck” shirt often. ;p
Bears/Packers is obviously huge here, in 2007 Bears went 7-9 but beat them twice including an ***kicking in Chicago with Favre complaining about the weather after the game, my uncle said it was a good year ;p. (And GB was 13-3 that year! Only 1 other loss).
I believe Packers/Vikings is the more bitter rivalry for them though. Pure hatred.
Jets/Pats gave us this http://www.sportsgeekery.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/return-of-the-Jet-I.jpg which was epic. Still have no idea what character Brady is supposed to be, just looks like himself.
Ah, NFL rivalries...
The SF-DAL games were so intense that I smoked crack to relax. When my cash ran out, I turned to theft and selling myself to get cash to buy the rock. I woke up one day wearing only a tattered shower curtain on a pool table in a bar in downtown Juarez, There was a donkey smiling at me and I felt like I had been soaking inside a washing machine for a few hours.
I’m clean now, but gadzooks, an NFL rivalry turned me into a junkie.
Well, I’m off to an 0 - 1 start as the Chargers surprised just about everyone and took down Peyton and the Broncos.
GO ARMY - BEAT NAVY!
Please tell me you got tested.
Hmm, think it’s time for a coaching change? It’s getting embarrassing for the soldiers.
I think the streak is up to eleven in a row. Tomorrow is Rummyfan Jr’s birthday (USMA Class of 2011) so I take that as a good sign for the Cadets to get a win!
Coach Ellerson is doing the best he can with the resources available.
I know it’s hard without having 300 pound lineman and stuff.
Streak aside though, Navy has been a lot better lately, usually have a winning record. I’d figure Army needs to start doing something differently.
