I am offended because I didn’t get the joke. I am supposed to laugh at a joke and I was not given the pleasure.
I don’t understand. Bill Maher says some awful stuff and it’s OK because he is a comedian but Steve Martin is in trouble for this lame joke.
I think he meant lasagna (in an Eyetalian restaurant), or LaSagna at a ghetto birth registry office.
I think he was joking about the names of black women. Latisha, Lakeesha, Latonya, Lasonia...
It’s a good, politically incorrect joke, anti-conservative compassionate.
Seriously, this is all too stupid if a comedian cannot make any jokes or attempt humor. There are more important things to be concerned with. Are there no more thick skinned people around?

If anything is fertile ground for making good fun of... It’s those ridiculous names that some black folk have been dreaming up for their kids. The wellspring of ignorance is too much... They —think— it’s Swahili or some such, but it’s just not. Sometimes there really is nothing left to do but point and laugh. Pretending they’re exempt from ridicule just makes it worse.

its because mahr makes jokes about the approved groups, whites, christians, men, heterosexuals.
It’s so difficult to be progressive these days.
