‘Wolf of Wall Street’ Breaks F-Word Record
variety.com ^ | January 2, 2014

Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street” is all about excess. From orgies on a plane to cocaine and cash (or “fun coupons” as Leonardo DiCaprio’s character calls them), the financial drama thrives in taking it up a notch.

So it should be no surprise that Paramount’s R-rated film sets the all-time record for the use of the f-word.

According to Wikipedia, the word “f***” is used 506 times over “The Wolf of Wall Street’s” 180-minute running time. Previously, the record for a non-documentary was Spike Lee’s 1999 film “Summer of Sam” with 435 instances.

Probably is. I don’t watch movies...at least the more recent ones.

here’s a true story:

My sister, on a recent trip to Ireland, was hanging out with some real Irish folks in a pub, having a grand old time with a very garrulous older couple. The old man’s speech was heavily pepped with profanity, even though the subject matter was not angry or dirty at all.

My sister said, “My, you folks have a colorful way of talking.”

Whereupon the old Irishman’s wife whacked him soundly with her purse, and exclaimed, “I TOLD YE TEH WATCH YER FOOKIN MOUTH AROUND AMERICANS!”

The bar has been lowered yet again.

Regarding Hollywood, the bar has been on the ground for a while.

The only movie I have ever seen where I thought the use of a slew of F Bombs was effective was the car rental scene in Planes Trains and Automobiles.

Where are the “F” and “N” words? After all, we do not want to rewrite history?

/s

Far too many Hollywood writers and “comedians” are 13 year-olds who so liked the shocked reactions they got the first time they used these words and, lacking any other talent, have continued that mode ever since.

This piece of garbage is bound to get numerous Academy Awards since it is an attack on capitalism.

There should be a movie Body Count Index to tally the number of killings by anti-gun Hollywood liberals.

I just watched Reds-2 and you'd have to Cray Computer to tally the total number killed by Hollywood Elites.

That doesn’t even count the audience members who object to the 3 hour run time. Thanks ilovesarah2012.

Here is a link to a post showing body count by actors.

http://vaviper.blogspot.com/2014/01/movie-body-counts-25-deadliest-actors.html

It’s actually from Jonah Goldberg’s “links gal”, but I got to it via Ace of Spades (credit where due!)

I have no idea if this is accurate or not, but according to the list Ah-nold S. is the deadliest of them all. So, I guess he’s a deadly RINO?

Reminds me of this Coach Bob Knight skit.

"Why do you say F#%@ so much?" "....the most expressive word our language has."

Coach Bob Knight's favorite word - Warning - Uncensored.

That all aside, when the word is used all the time, I just start tuning it out. I do use word at times, usually when the idiot in chief is on the TV screen. I don't use it in front of women and children, or in a professional setting.

I got sucked into watching “We’re the Millers” movie this week by someone who thought it was a funny movie. It was the most disgusting failure of a movie I have ever seen. Why Jennifer Aniston would “star” in this trashy movie is beyond me. Eff this and eff that. It made me angry, and I stopped watching it after 20 minutes.

Hollywierd is up against a wall—the wall of porn-with-a-plot nudity. They are probing, for the eventual presentation of anything-goes, to the public, in prime time.

Hollywood should realize most people who use the word a lot are in middle school and trying to be “cool”. It is very unbecoming in adults, especially so-called professionals. I am hardly ever around anyone who uses it so when I do hear it, it just turns my stomach. I’m not perfect, but I can certainly come up with better adjectives.

We walked out of the Millers movie. Disgusting.

Jennifer Aniston is not a moral person.
