Why don't recreational marijuana advocates support licensed farms/corporations disbursing this?
1/6/2014 | Laissez-Faire Capitalist

Why do they want dispensaries to disburse this?

Why not have monitored process from the farm all the way to the pharmacist to increase the odds of keeping this out of the hnads of young people and attach a name to those that buy this from the pharmacies, so that if any young people do smoke this, it can be traced back to the person who bought it from the pharmacist?

Maybe I didn't explain it better, but you see where I am coming from, right?

Alcohol is sold by a lot of mom-and-pop stores as well. Plus, I doubt established corporations want to get involved with this, given the grief the feds could give them.

Libertopians do not want to keep it out of the hands of young people. They would like to see meth and heroin shops open up in every middle school.

Extremely simple. They cannot tax the hell out of it otherwise...it’s not hard to figure out.

I’m an advocate of personal and parental responsibility. I do not wish to parent your kid, and I do not wish the State to do so either.

As a partial answer to your question, if I wish to grow a plant and inhale the vapours from its combustion, that is nobody’s business, and certainly not the business of the State, any more than it is the business of the State if I own firearms for personal protection.

What a cop-out

So are you okay with underage prostitution being okay too? Don’t want the state to babysit their kids for them?

Libertarians are the worst anti-civilization freaks known

I assume this is concerning the Colorado law that became effective 1-1-14. We the People wanted to get the government out of the pot business. There is no way for underage folks to buy it legally. They have to go black market just like before the law changed.

The lamestream media got all excited and act like the stuff did not exist until 1-1-14. Well guess what. The sun still comes up in the East and there have been no 50 car pileups caused by pot smokers. Nothing changed.

No matter what any state says or does, it is still against federal law to grow, distribute or use marijuana. Until that changes, people should think twice about what they’re doing.

That is quite a question for a “Laissez-faire capitalist” to ask, no?

Yeah, but I heard that there are monumental lines at Taco bell, and stores are running out of Doritos and Funyuns!

More than half of the inmates in Max security prisons test positive for one illegal drug or another. How do you propose to keep the stuff out of a free society? 40 years of the WOD and one trillion dollars wasted so drugs can be cheaper, easier to get and more potent.

Not to mention all the dead people and dogs. Coloradans are ending the madness.

How do we propose to keep murder and rape out of a free society?

That’s the ticket

Please show me where I backed the war on drugs in my post or excoriated the people of Colorado or any other state. Strawman much?

It’s against Federal law to sell or possess pot. A regular pharmacy would be closed down if they sold it, and the pharmacists would lose their licenses. A dispensary may have a local or state license, but it’s not regulated like pharmacies are. You’d have to have complete Federal legalization before pharmacies would ever touch it.

Why would you send your kids to a middle school with a store that sells drugs?
