Having lived in San Francisco the first 23 years of my life, I have to identify that Photo. Initially, I'm guessing the Sunset or Richmond district... but where?

satellite image is fun, but I really liked Vietnam. Mexico City made me feel claustrophic, Moscow would be fun to explore, and Shanghai would be avoided at all costs. Brother-in-law is from Vancouver so I might go there on my way to Alaska.

I did not mind the smell of the paddies near as much as the smell of the burning heads (latrines) back in the rear areas.

I’m not from SFO (only been there twice), but I did look on the photographer’s Flickr page and he says this is “N Judah” in SFO. Google Earth says that Judah St. is just south of Golden Gate Park (not sure what district that’s in).
