You abandoned an animal and pretty much made sure he would be unable to make it back to the home and people he found familiar. You don’t deserve cats OR dogs.
My cat kept bringing in lizards until I started praising him for bringing in lizards. Then he stopped.
Seemed that he just wanted to be acknowledged for his offering and for his hunting skills.

What is “fun” is when they turn a live mouse loose in the house. The mother cat does this to teach her kitten hunting skills and the kitten is supposed to instinctively chase it and dispatch it. The mother mihgt help. Kind of cruel but that is what cats do for survival.
I am going to adopt a Maine Coone when I move out into a condo or house.

I am not sure what the anthrozoologist has against pedigree breeders. All of them or just the dishonest ones that practice unethical breeding.
