First lady Michelle Obama says in the years ahead, she’ll spend more and more of her time trying to get “underserved” young people into college.
Speaking at the White House on Thursday, she told a gathering of college administrators they must do more to encourage poor kids to enroll in their schools—an effort that will benefit the schools as well:
So believe me, these will be some of the best alumni you could possibly ask for, because after everything these kids will have overcome to get into college and get through college, believe me, they will have all the skills they need to run our businesses and our labs and to teach in our classrooms and to lead our communities.Just look at me…and the countless success stories from the organizations and schools represented here in this room. That’s how we will win—this country. We will win by tapping the full potential of all of our young people, so that we can grow our economy and move this country forward. …

The “under-served” don’t need any programming. Sending them to college is a waste of time and money. It’s cheaper for the communists to hook them with freebies. So far, that’s working out well. Why waste the money giving it to a bunch of Marxist professors?
There are too many undeserving kids in college already.
You’re a lot of things lady but under-served isn’t one of them.

Just what we need more and more unprepared and unmotivated students attending colleges.
How about a different proposal: students who want to attend colleges first attend high schools that encourage learning and self discipline. Also, encourage students who are not ready for a four year college to attend a community college for two or three years. The service academies have some type of prep schools for student who have graduated from high school but are not ready for the academic and physical training demands at the academies. There is no b.s. at these prep schools and no one is harassed “for acting white.”

MO was NOT a poor, underprivileged girl. Her father had a great job with the City of Chicago. She was from a well-to-do family. Neither she, nor her consort, ever had life as difficult as do many African-Americans today.
What a crock she is trying to dump on people.

Just look at me, or read my senior essay. Even with college I couldn’t write.
* Going to College and get a non STEM degree and hang out with Marxist leaning organizations and fellow Marxist travelers and produce a crappy thesis paper.
* Get a rain maker job @ a Hospital for unkuboko bucks while your hubby is climbing the political ladder.
* Surrender you law license because? Because we don't know why, the books are sealed and the whole thing smells like rotten fish.
Yes we need hundreds of thousands to follow in her footsteps rather than get jobs in the new oil revolution with a technical degree and be earning 70 to 100k in a couple of years out of school....
Na, get on your parents health care till' 26', take out a bazillion in student loans and follow Michelle!

We already admit FAR TOO MANY people through racial, poverty, and immigration preferences who are totally unqualified for college, had no serious prep in K-12, and don’t really want to be there. Then colleges let them skate by without any serious scholarship and graduate them with worthless degrees. Just look a Mooch’s senior thesis — it’s a “woe is me” racial grievances stinker.
