Netflix has The Lodger on DVD but does not have The Miracle of Morgans Creek. Crowther thinks the Hays office must have been asleep at the switch when they let Miracle go unbanned. But thats a good thing, he contends. I got a copy of The Lodger in time to preview it but it was cracked and unplayable. Maybe Netflix has more copies and maybe they dont. According to T.M.P. I didnt miss much HJS.

Great old ads. It’s interesting to see an ad for Hitchcock’s LIFEBOAT, along with a remake of the film he directed 20 years earlier, The Lodger.

Reading about these movies made me search out more info about Laird Cregar.
Dead at 31.
