James Bond 24 & 25 Will Build on ‘Skyfall’
Screen Rant ^

Posted on 01/21/2014 3:55:01 PM PST by Perdogg

The fifty-year-old James Bond franchise is one of the most durable movie properties in existence, having reinvented itself with a new lead actor and new creative direction for each generation since Sean Connery originated the role in 1962′s Dr. No. Current franchise star Daniel Craig’s first outing, in 2006′s origin-story/reboot Casino Royale, was a critical and commercial success and for the first time in Bond history was followed by a direct sequel, Quantum of Solace, which was commercially successful but seen as a disappointment by many fans and critics (but not us).

***Bond’s entrance at the casino in Dr. No, Pierce will say, “Your name is Bond, James Bond.”****

I’ve always felt the name “James Bond 007” was more a title than an actual name.

Sort of how John LeCarre would envisioned Bond.
Ian Fleming might have envisioned him that way, too.

Connery is still my all time favorite Bond.
There was a great event when one of the movie channels on
my dish played a full week of the older classic Bond movies.

If you liked “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”, I suggest watching the Millennium trilogy made for Swedish TV. The first segment is followed by “The Girl Who Played With Fire” and “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest”. They’re on Netflix. Outstanding.

Excellent film! A story not told often enough.

I watched the movie thinking, ‘I can’t believe they’re going “there.”’ Great ending.

A movie with nothing but Olga Kurylenko scratching her nails down a chalkboard for two hours would get at least two starts from me. Maybe three.

The producers can claim any number film they want, but since they don’t include the original Casino Royale or Never Say never gain, their count will always be wrong.

Oh joy!
More Bond without an actual novel!

I refused to see “skyfall”, for that reason, and these shall be ignored for the same reason, as Hollywood re-writes the fictional history of Mssr. James Bond.

It is ashamed that Hollywood has become a regurgitation capital, including, “The Mr. Peabody and Sherman” movie!!
(CGI of course).

Roger Moore’s Bond was Simon Templar on the big screen.

It's fitting that you posted that twice, as you'll have to watch Layer Cake at least twice to be able to figure out the movie.

BTW, Jason Statham will be taking over Daniel Craig's role in the sequel. I'm not sure what to think of this yet - if he can capture all that Craig was in the role.
