Rat-Infested Ghost Ship Lyubov Orlova Barrels Toward Land
Wunderground ^

Posted on 01/24/2014 7:21:38 AM PST by chessplayer

If you thought Ghost Ship was just another Hollywood horror-flick, brace yourself. According to The Independent, an abandoned, cannibalistic rat-infested, 1,565 ton Soviet-era cruise liner could be just another winter storm away from colliding with the coast of the United Kingdom or Ireland, and Canadian authorities may be to blame.

Can’t the brits afford any ammo to use for gunnery practice? Just sayin’.

This is the same British Navy that a few years ago captured a group of pirates, fed them a halal meal and then set them back ashore in Somalia. Don't the rats deserve at least the same consideration?

Is there some reason why England must welcome these rats to their shore? Couldn’t they just round up some hungry stray cats and drop them in for dinner?

Well after welcoming so many muslims how can they now discriminate against these rats?

Hopefully the plot will be as good as in the amazing, bulldada movie Death Ship (1980).

http://www.badmovies.org/movies/deathship/

Starring America’s greatest president, George Kennedy, as well as Richard Crenna.

Part of its reviews:

“I spent about thirty minutes washing my mouth out after watching this crap... Make sure you have lots of alcohol on hand before popping this tape in the VCR.”

Honest to goodness, it is now available both as a “remastered” DVD and on Blu-Ray.

That would seem to be the case.

If this vessel poses such a threat, why not utilize maritime aircraft to locate it, and then sink it as a menace to navigation using either naval gunfire or a torpedo?

Sounds like a situation for the S-S-S rule: Shoot - Shovel Sink and Shut up

BTW Johnny Boehner and the Cannibal Rats sounds like a good name for a rock group!

You are correct.

In the late 1970s, I came across a McDERMOTT launch barge adrift in the Mindoro Strait. I had a small supply boat with only 1600 HP but we secured a line to the barge and started towing it. Once that line was attached and I had control of the barge, and there were no owner personnel on board, it was mine.

The owner quite readily paid me US$125,000.00 to give it back. I was very happy.

I’m wondering how a ship that is adrift and DIW can “barrel” towards anything?

“The problem is Greenpeace and the environmental groups that will go get their panties in a wad if this ship is sunk.”

And don’t forget about PETA, they will scream about the mistreatment of the cannibalistic rats.

I’m thinking that a boat load of Detroit “scrappers” could take care of that problem pretty quick......

Sentence that Italian captain of the Concordia to sail on that ship. Fix the controls so it only sails in the middle of the Atlantic.

Find it, board it, place 3 batches of C4 (50 lbs each) at three locations inside the hull below the water line. Get the hell off and watch the fun when the C4 goes bang. This is much cheaper than using naval fire or torpedoes.
