My two dogs love chasing squirrels, second only to chasing cats. One of them at least, would be smart enough to give chasing this 'kitty cat' a pass!

The video states that, 'hybrid vigour' makes a liger "bigger, stronger, smarter and faster" than its parents. Judging by his girth, and shorter legs to torso, compared to lion or tiger, I do not see how Hercules could be 'faster'. Though a Wiki article states that he is not obese and is expected to live a long life, his large belly and his panting, even when he walks, does not 'equate' with being in good health.

While lions and tigers can breed in captivity, there are apparently none in the wild as their territories do not overlap and only a very small part of lion and tiger territories ever did. If God had wanted ligers, He would have made them in the wild. Man should not mess with this.

He'd make a great fur coat! One animal, one coat and hat, and perhaps, boots and gloves.

Seriously though, looking at that first picture, his jaws look as wide as her head! He looks as large as Aslan, the CGI lion in the Narnia movies. He's beautiful, but he's still a wild animal so I wouldn't trust him, especially if he were hungry!

It’s pretty much my favorite animal!

No human could look as good in his fur as he does.

Interestingly, according to what I’ve read, ligers have a singularly mild, gentle temperament. Tigons, however, are just the opposite.

Think of the size of the litter box.

I agree that Hercules looks better in his fur than anyone could. I don’t wear fur and have no desire to. Not a PETA type, but I’m just not interested in fur.

I too, have read of how gentle Ligers are. I cannot dispute it, but I am aware of some problems with Wolfdogs and Coydogs, so I am not a big fan of hybrid wild animals, especially such a big animal. If Hercules ever reverted to his wild state, even for just a few seconds, there would be nothing left of his handler except a memory!

Liger? Please. This is just your standard sabretooth with the 'sabres' removed.

Nice try.

Is that Eddie Murphy (on the left in a plastic wig) back from when he made really funny movies? He’s in disguise with a little CGI thrown in.

Same here....I have no use for PETA nuts, but I’ve always loved animals.

A human would be barely a snack for Hercules! I hope his keepers/owners are using good common sense and lots of alertness, as gentle as he may be. When animal handlers get too relaxed, things have a tendency to not turn out well.
