Military brass behaving badly

Brig. Gen. Bryan T. Roberts publicly warned his troops at Fort Jackson, S.C., last spring that he and the Army had “zero tolerance for sexual harassment and sexual assault.” Here’s what the Army didn’t tell the soldiers: At the time, Roberts himself was under investigation by the military over allegations that he physically assaulted one of his mistresses on multiple occasions.

Martin P. Schweitzer, a commander with the Army’s legendary 82nd Airborne Division, was respectful and polite when he met a female member of Congress to discuss matters at Fort Bragg, N.C. Afterward, however, he couldn’t resist tapping out e-mails to two other generals, describing the lawmaker, Rep. Renee L. Ellmers (R-N.C.), as “smoking hot” and jokingly referring to explicit sexual acts.

KEYWORDS: shocking
When I was a commissioned officer from 1977-1997, I never even saw another officer with a tattoo. Now this. But during my years in uniform, there was no effort at religious cleansing of the military like there is now. There are no vacuums so as Christianity is pushed out, something has to take its place. We should not be shocked as what that something is. It could also be that morale is so bad now under Emperor Obama's leadership that there will be all sorts of problems throughout the ranks.

And the military “purge” goes on. Get rid of the leaders and you have no military resistance.

I’m glad I got out after 4 years in active land and a little NG and reserve stuff in the mid 90s.

I am not saying things like De’Souza’s actions or the ones described in this article are OK, but the byline to these articles is that we are now living in a fascist police state and the walls have ears. NSA is building or has already built a dossier on everyone, and each file contains at least a little dirt, something that can be conveniently used to silence or at least embarrass the target.

" there will be all sorts of problems throughout the ranks. "

During your time in, officers and families billeted on base were expected at chapel each Sunday. If absent, the CO's wife came around to inquire if there was illness in the family. If your kids misbehaved on base, you received an immediate call from the CO. Future prospects for onward promotion were determined by a thorough vetting of not only the candidate, but also his entire family in a social setting. There was a simple reason for this: never place immoral men in positions of authority. To do otherwise is to invite disaster. There is worse to come: there is no greater threat to freedom and liberty than the prospect of facing an unchurched standing army, ignorant of the Judeo-Christian principles that founded this republic, and unrestrained by the concepts of forgiveness, forbearance, and mercy.

I am of the mind that our Military needs to stand up to their Oath and take a lesson from the Egyptian Military.

Congress has demonstrated that they have no interest in honoring their Oath of Office.

Our Officers come from our society. Your character is pretty well formed by the time you start training to be an Officer.

Normally I would be against a Military coup. But these are special circumstances where the Government at all branches is out of control. The checks and balances system No longer works and a communist is running Amok destroying our country from within.

If the Congress could regain control of the Government It would be a different story but time Is running out quickly.

As far as the 2016 Presidential elections is concerned with this dictator we have presently, they may not even occur. We may be stuck with Emperor obama until he decides to give up his position.

This story is from The Washington Post. It is written to advance the liberal agenda. The real story is the failure of our admirals and generals to defeat our enemies in Afghanistan. This stupidity in their personal lives is an indicator, a symptom, of a bigger problem. They aren’t smart enough to devise a winning strategy. They recognize this, so they seek “victories” in other areas. Thus, you have Petraeus “winning” over his age by having an affair with a young woman. You have Navy Officers “winning” by becoming rich through bribes. And our present Commander-In-Chief is doing everything wrong with the military.....probably intentionally. The Army didn’t want smart Officers, they wanted obedient Officers.

I did not come to my opinion lightly or without considerable thought.

The alternative to taking no action is not an acceptable option, again in my humble opinion.

We have lesbian commanders diddling female service members. Trust me. Guess why they are never exposed.

No such expectations were in place when I was in as to chapel, the COs wife never knew we were there and my daughter was a baby. However, I agree with the remainder of your comments.
